What I'm saying is that it's not cut and dried like some think. It's a confusing topic. What I think is behind the whole controversy is that someone will SAY they're trans when they're really not so they can go into a woman's locker room and do nasty stuff there. That sounds ludicrous, but it's the truth. I've actually heard people say that....

I don't think it's as complex as you think. If you chop off your genitalia, you still can't play women's sports. May seem harsh, but that's life. Sports have age limits and sex limits for reasons. Doesn't make that person less of a person. It needs to be that cut and dry because like I asked, are you going to allow somebody who is just mediocre to play in the WNBA, but if they're a superstar they can't?

As someone who has competed against women in cycling, I would have to say no.

In cycling, the categories are broken up by sex, age and skill levels. To give you some background, I competed in the Men's Masters Level 2 category. That means that at the time, I was over 35 and considered competitive on a regional basis. When I raced, I was usually grouped in with the Pros and category 1's, so that we could have less races to manage and to also have larger packs of racers.

In cycling they will allow women and juniors (under 18) to compete with men, as long as they are the same category.

At the time, we had the current Canadian women's national champion (Pro category) racing in our men's races, so she could compete at a level that would help her retain her title. She placed well, which was usually in the top 5, but was also racing against men that were not pros, but regular guys who had day jobs. It was then discovered she was using performance enhancing drugs and she was stripped of her title. Without the drugs, she wouldn't have been close to top 5.

My advice would be an open division for transgenders and other who wanted to compete. It pains me to be exclusionary, because I was fortunate to compete in football, basketball and track in high school, simply because I went to a tiny school. If I went to a large metro high school, I probably would have been strictly a JV level competitor.

Yes. Approximately 0.025% of the population. It's the exception, not the rule. Regardless of the packaging, the vast majority of the .025% have dominant male or female traits.

Show jumping, also known as "stadium jumping", is a part of a group of English riding equestrian events that also includes dressage, eventing, hunters, and equitation.

2 fucks or not, now you do. :D

Show jumping and I believe other equestrian sports are uni-sex, men and women compete against each other.

Or just have an "open" category where whoever can wants to compete regardless of sex restrictions can. All I know is having biological men compete against biological women is absurd and in no way can be an equal playing field.

This is a good spot to post about something I saw yesterday that made me just shake my head. MSNBC's Joshua Johnson was talking about this issue. I can't remember the exact quote but he said that the thing with not wanting biological males competing in womens' sports showed bias because it shows you don't think women are as good at sports as men are.

This came shortly after he showed that woman with orange hair, Sha'Carri Richardson, scorching the field in a 100 meter heat at the olympic trials. She ran a 10.64 in one heat. Now she's regarded as the United States' fastest woman. And 10.64 is very fast regardless of sex.

But this fastest woman in the United States would look slow trying to run against mens' olympic 100 meters contestants. The top three finishers in the 100 meter Olympic trials on the mens side ran 9.80, 9.85, and 9.86 in the final.

BTW, see the video below. The only runner who finished with a slower time that the fastest woman in the US's 10.64 was the guy who looks like he is pulling up lame or something. He finished in 10.87. The slowest time among the other guys was 10.05. Yes, Joshua, there is a difference.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
