Frankly I think the Republican Party continues to slit its own throat with respect to the long term. They're doing stuff like this to try to reduce Black voting and it may help them in 2023. Same. Those blasted committees really do a wonder on a bill before it finally gets voted on and codified. Lemme help you out here....you can't.
What the law actually states is that the Georgia State Election Board...the BIPARTISAN Georgia State Election Board can step in when a county fails its voters by allowing long lines, not fulfilling absentee ballot requests, not counting votes accurately, lose ballots, etc. The county can only be "taken over" after investigations have been conducted, and a hearing has been held. The county can even appeal the decision to superior court if it chooses (i.e. due process).
