JSO is 60-70% right about Trump. His hyperpartisan bias keeps him from accepting that there were good things that happened under the Trump administration. Cloaking his hyperpartisan bias in word salads of quasi-logic doesn't make it right and neither does his junior high science fair prize. :coffee:
There it is in a nutshell. Well said, 88.

Lazy wishful thinking. Me and ‘88 are having a little fun. There’s much I’d still disagree with JSO on but he’s right about Trump. Watching people lose their shit over JSO’s feelings on Trump is quite entertaining tho.

We did get a vaccine, although he would have preferred we invest in his hydro- chloroquine venture. :coffee:

Mr. Irrelevant strikes again. Just 11 days late this time. Why don’t you root back into the Cap’n Cat era and find something fresh?

How so?

I smell a VP bid.
SD Legislature passed a bill requiring athletes to participate in sports based on their gender at birth and she had previously indicated she would sign it. Under pressure from the Chamber of Commerce, Amazon, and some others she caved. She didn't technically veto it but she sent it back using language that is intended to be used to fix typos or other bill drafting errors. People are pissed.
Well, she clearly ISN’T planning on running. SD legislature has a bill prohibiting vaccine mandates in SD, similar to what has been passed in other red states, and she won’t sign it.

She was on the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton show yesterday. Buck was directly asking her about refusing to sign the bill, and she kept trying to obfuscate, laying out her conservative bonafides, and he wasn’t having any of it- Kept asking her, and she kept spinning. It actually got a little testy

Tiptoeing the line between appealing to the base to win the primary and appealing to the masses to win the general election can't be easy. Signing those bills appeals to the base but could costs votes in swing states in the general election.

What's more important? Ideological purity or winning elections?

Tiptoeing won’t win the primary. Trump didn’t tip toe. Desantis isn’t tiptoeing. It ‘might’ get her on the ticket as VP..

So ideological purity/loyalty to Trump is more important then actually winning the Presidency.

That’s not what I said. Reading is fundamental.

I said exactly what I said. Tiptoeing won’t win the primary.
And it shouldn’t. I don’t want a tiptoer.

And it shouldn’t. I don’t want a tiptoer even if it costs the Republican candidate in the general election.
What you left unsaid (italicized) is why ideological purity/loyalty to Trump is more important.

You can believe that it won't cost the R candidate votes in swing states but I disagree.

Are you sure about that? Obama was arguably the last functioning adult in the office.

I’m voting for my dead grandmother for now on. She’d be better than anyone we’ve seen on a long time.

I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but I’d take Obama in a heartbeat over this tree stump. i may not have agreed with his policies (at all) but at least he was all there mentally.

Taking Obama over Biden is an easy call but what about Obama or Trump? Obama was a functioning adult and Trump wasn't/isn't.

That says a lot considering your disdain for Reagan.

What are the parallels between Reagan's mental capacity at the end of his Presidency compared to Biden at the beginning of his?

Reagan was a Mensa candidate at the end compared to where Biden is now.

Is it too much to ask for us to have a President that loves the USA and has the nations best interest at heart, with full mental faculties and analyzes actions on their own merits?
