That's not true. He wrote a book, made millions, stopped demonizing millionaires and focused on billionaires and his peace de resistance - unsuccessfully run for President twice. To be fair, I don't believe he's authored much legislation for all his years in Congress though.
He's like a Kardashian, famous for being famous.

It’s been that way for quite awhile across multiple polls and subjects. People like their weed, hate their health insurance company, want sensible gun laws, are tired of wars abroad, etc.
The trend will continue whixch is a good thing.

I haven't heard of this site before, American Greatness, but they have some interesting articles:
https://amgreatness.com/2021/03/29/the- ... al-temper/
https://amgreatness.com/2021/03/29/the- ... al-temper/
Liberalism is no longer a philosophy. It’s a personality: flexible, situational, attuned to prevailing winds.
It’s embarrassing. We have liberal mayors who in summer 2020 wouldn’t defend their own cities, college presidents who denounce their own colleges at the command of leftist protesters, and a parade of liberal figureheads apologizing dramatically for a slip or a foible that deserves barely any notice at all.
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17

Liberals have the power, but they won’t save us. They can’t save us—it’s not in them anymore. It does us no good to accuse them of hypocrisy, either. Double standards don’t bother them, they’ve made their peace.
Liberalism has jumped the shark.

You do have forgive Klam as he is living in a WC(b) area and that seems to influence his thought process.
Then again he is smart enough to throw a red herring in there for people to bite on.

Wealth inequality leads to massive change and often revolution.
Gun violence if unchecked will eventually lead to new restrictions.
Corporations are legal fictions, not people.
Money is not speech.
Trade imbalances suck and we need to leverage our markets and resources for the betterment of all Americans rather than just a select few. China is our adversary.

I don't disagree with any of that. Well maybe the Zen part but the rest is good. We don't need to throw the baby out with the bathwater to make meaningful change that leverages the advantages of what we have without sending us down the road to the American Cultural Revolution and misery.kalm wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 3:10 pmTrump is bad for the country and bad for the Republican Party in the long term.

Re: The Official "Making America Woke Again" Thread
That is bound to happen when you throw a mixture of Basic, Forth, Speakeasy, C++, and Java, into a compiler and then try to update it to modern programming language like Scratch, Groovy, Rust, Dart, Swift, Red, or Ballerina. That old hardware just doesn't have the processing power it used to and when things get too jumbled one is bound to return a errno.h header file.UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 1:44 pmOl' Kalm was like that but I'm not as sure about the new version. Zen can go stick it where the sun don’t shine. Take out the middle 200 pages of the book where he attempts to define the word “quality”, and the remaining 100 pages might be ok. I would have just as soon had ice picks jammed under my fingernails than read that book.kalm wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 3:10 pmTrump is bad for the country and bad for the Republican Party in the long term.

It’s similar to libertarian principles. I get them and in a perfect world where greed was eliminated, or rational, or truly “good”,
It would work.

Ask the question the same way over and over and you’ll get the same answer. Add in caveats and the polling can drastically change. We’ve been over this before.
