But I’m kind of fond of the Crayfish Washington and Eastern Washington Fly-Fishing pages. It’s also cool to see my cousin from Iowa rescuing sea turtles in Mexico.

They're definitely used for good as well, just awful when it comes to the spread of factual information.

See, it is possible to sometimes agree with Trip. I've always thought that social media has largely (not all, some is decent, but a large chunk) is like reading the newspaper comment sections that just started popping up in the late 90's. It was just an absolute disaster of people's worst impulses, aided by the anonymity of it, to be the worst versions of themselves. I don't think we've gotten much better since then, and if anything we've just gotten better at quickly accessing those impulses.

It's a very helpful tool to see just how awful some people and organizations truly are.
