I don't understand why we need to wait days, if not weeks, after seeing that video and at the bare minimum the guy who had the knee on the neck. Why isn't that enough to make an arrest? You don't need to have the charges perfect at that point, but you should at least give a nod towards doing the right thing by arresting and processing these guys. The protestors are right, if this happened on the street by anyone else they would've been arrested on the spot - why are these cops being given any more courtesy than that?
Because cops protect cops so the majority of cops that ruin it for the few "good cops" make them all bad cops.

That would explain stealing flat-screen TVs and destroying businesses that don't have any connection with the Minneapolis PD.
What an accurate little cunt. :ohno:

And finally the cop with the knee to the neck is detained. Why that didn't happen the moment he and the other four were fired from the force is something that will have to be explained in the days ahead.

I hope they release video of his arrest.

If they're so violent with someone accused of a petty crime, imagine what they'd do to a murder suspect!

Would be good for at least another night of riots.

Democrats got rid of the Coronavirus thingy pretty fast and are now back to their racist ways.

Only 7 or 8 more scandels until the Trump landslide

No it wasn’t. A horde of idiots were out in the street impeding traffic- notice how the cop cars almost had to come to a stop. The pepper? spray was effective at clearing the idiots off the street, at no harm- its just an irritant.

Oh, come on! There was literally no need to spray that - multiple cop cars had passed that intersection already before that guy got there. There was zero need to spray pepper spray at that point. Cops do crap like that and everytime it lessens people's respect for police just a little bit. Do it enough and you end up where we are right now.

Thank you Sheriff Jim Clark.

It was unnecessary and a potentially stupid provocation based on the situation.

People have a right to protest, but don’t have a right to wander into the streets impeding traffic. Stay on the sidewalks, or get a permit.

Technical questions: What are the department's policies on the use of pepper spray? Was it called for in that instance (people in the roadway where they did not belong but not impeding the officer or other traffic and not a threat to the officer or other civilians)? Is the officer supposed to provide a warning before using?

Common sense says that it was a stupid thing to do in that situation and could have caused a bad situation to escalate. That guy should be sitting behind a desk for a little while.

Like I said, the cars in front of him had no problem getting through the intersection, and his car was moving through pretty well too. Heck, he was spraying people he was passing, so he already go through those folks. He must be a hoot when he sees a jaywalker on a normal day.

I'm waiting for all the facts to come out. Something about the whole deal smells funny. If bad cops are going to kill someone, they are going to do it in broad daylight?

If so, then wow.

The ME said Floyd didnt die from asphyxiation. Don't know if that will be relevant legally, but it's hard to come up with a good reason for the cop to have his knee on the guy's throat when he's cuffed.

I totally agree. I guess my question then is, is the policeman that stupid to kill a man in front of others?

I have seen nothing to indicate the guy gave any pushback. That's a long ways away from resisting, which is what he got treated as.

MSP- weak, liberal leadership. It appears the 1st 2 nights they let the looters and rioters operate with impunity with little to no fear of arrest. You want to burn down a police station? We'll order our police to leave so you can have at it.

Well, a police station makes a lot more sense than a Target.
