What is your Kryptonite?

Post by 89Hen »

For many here Trump was their trigger to go off the deep end, but to be fair, it wasn't a far leap for some.

But then we've seen others like Gil with Covid. Gil was one of the most even keel guys here and he's a basket case right now.

What would it take GF to snap? How about 88? Ivy?

Politically? - Job killing legislation/EO's, or lack of job growth initiatives. (See Obama for both)

Socially? - Slow people.

My kryponite is those chicks Grizza is posting in the bikini thread.

Politically, it’s people like trip. Ones who want to fix a crack in the windshield with a sledgehammer.

Actually, my kryptonite is people/politicians willing to give away liberties and freedoms in the name of “safety”. Every time I hear someone say it’s the government’s responsibility to “keep us safe” (and it usually involves some onerous government regulation or military intervention) I want to throw shit at the TV.

If I am around anyone and they start talking politics I will leave. Won't be mad, won't make a scene, just will get up and leave.

This and people who only look at the short term side of a problem and not consider the long term ramifications of issue.

You already know it - people using an uninformed view of history (especially American history) and then using that uniformed view of history to make/prove an argument in the present day. I'm horribly offended by poor uses of history, it drives me batty. :thumb:

Dumb asses from Deleware who ask stupid questions?

Seriously, I'm good about keeping my cool over just about anything except my kids. Like most parents, they can trigger me like nothing else. And if anyone or anything threatens them, they're going to get an up-close and personal taste of the origins of berserk (ancient Norse).

I was irritated by the Lt Governor of Texas, saying Grandparents should sacrifice themselves for their grandchildren's future economy.

I'm actually pretty full of "don't give a shit" politically, as we all know how entrenched people are through our interactions on this board, so I will have to go with people who claim credit where it is NOT due.

I work with a gal who does this all day long and it makes my eye twitch.
