Former CNBC reporter/anchor Michele Caruso-Cabrera will run against AOC in the next election.

Get the popcorn out.

I really like Michelle. She is a no nonsense New Englander from New Hampshire. I hope that she DESTROYS AOC....and the BU horse that she rode in on. :thumb:

Gotta say I have watched her for many years and I never saw political bias in her reporting. She is a great correspondent.
I was less of a fan of her anchoring though. She often interrupted her guests and it ruined the flow of the conversation.

No.
This will be a very interesting race. AOC faces an accomplished opponent. Not sure how well known she is throughout the District but this will look like a Donk vs. Conk race.
It was not immediately clear why Caruso-Cabrera, who left her full-time CNBC role in 2018, had decided to take on Ocasio-Cortez.

But her 2010 book, "You Know I'm Right: More Prosperity, Less Government," is a paean to limited government and fiscal conservatism -- a stance that puts her well to the right of AOC, even within the Democratic Party.

God she’s a pompous idiot.

I'm not that sure AOC is popular in her own district.

People in NYC still gripe A LOT about how she killed the Amazon deal.

Maria is like a delicious plate of Italian ravioli. She is much better on Fox Business than she was on CNBC. She can now speak the TRUTH and doesn't have to bow down to the libtards at Comcast. :thumb:

She's popular with the Bernie Bros.....that's about it. She's a one hit wonder.....don't let the door hit you on the way out, babe!

May all be a moot point since her district may be one that goes away during the realignment.

Perhaps. But re-alignment won't occur until after the 2020 census. Says a lot, though, that it is the Democrats who are said to be targeting her district. Don't piss off Nancy and other party leadership, and think there will be no repercussions.

Still she lost 25,000 jobs in her own district. That is usually not a selling point for a second term.

I agree with Jeff. AOC looks like a one-and-done.

If that race came down to a wet tee shirt contest it’d be a tossup
