I just watched the Epstein documentary on Netflix and yup, rich people can apparently do whatever they want to do. The Clintons, the Trumps, the Derschowitz's, the Prince Andrew's, etc. And you have their enablers like the folks working their properties. The guy doing network cables at Epstein's private island knew he had been bringing in over a hundred girls that looked pretty young, yet he stayed there and said nothing because you know, paycheck and all. It's like that weak-willed assistant coach for Penn St who walked in on Sandusky raping a kid in a shower, and rather than stopping it, decided to walk away and let Paterno know about it a few hours later and then do nothing about it for the next 10 years. More people need to step up and say something when these things are going on rather than silently allow them to happen.

I watched the Netflix limited series on Epstein yesterday. It was so fascinating/disturbing that I binged watched it.

After watching it, I think it is overwhelmingly likely that Epstein did, in fact, commit suicide. I say this for the reasons below (and acknowledge that there is a reasonable argument to the contrary).

First, two days before his death, he re-did his will so as to place his assets in an off-shore trust that would make it much harder for his victims to collect judgments awarded in their favor.

Second, it's pretty clear that Epstein loathed the attorneys who had been hired to pursue these suits. He couldn't stand that they would eventually "win." Epstein was a narcissistic sociopath into controlling people, destroying people, and "winning." He couldn't stand having the tables turned on him. He picked his victims because they were vulnerable, easy to manipulate, and easy to control. Having these victims ultimately destroy him was not something he would have been able to accept.

The character in this drama that defies explanation is Ghislaine Maxwell. She was a pampered daughter of a billionaire herself; an heiress; and a strikingly beautiful woman, especially as a young woman. How or why she got mixed up in becoming a procurer for Epstein and his network of friends is hard to grasp. She didn't need Epstein; she was already a scion of wealth and privilege.

Given his need for control, it is not likely that Epstein would have ever ratted out anyone. He chose another route out. But Maxwell -- people better watch out. It's hard to say what she might do.

Yes. I'm not saying it's unreasonable to say this. BUT, if someone did take him out, then it won't be too long until Ghislaine is ice-cold too. If she thinks Epstein was wasted, she is probably not getting a lot of sleep these nights.
