It turns out she's being treated for cancer again.
The way our national luck has been going, she doesn't make it to Election Day. I don't know. Maybe Putin's sticking pins in Uncle Sam voodoo doll. As a nation, we just can't seem to buy a break any more.
The last thing we need now is to have a major row over RBG's replacement -- which means it's going to happen.

Yup, if she dies, the GOP has the Presidency and the Senate (a combination that did not exist in the last election season vacancy). They'll fill the seat because they can. Of course, the Dems will be up in arms, and when Biden wins in November court packing might be the first thing on the agenda (there are so many things they say are first on the agenda that it will be interesting to see what truly is first). We are incapable of not screwing this thing up.

Yup, including two bouts with pancreatic cancer (one of the really bad ones) and one with colon cancer. It’s liver cancer this time, which is no walk in the park.
I bet RBG outlives Jimmeh Carter.
