If we're going to view the constitution as a living, breathing document that needs to keep up with the times, we need to acknowledge birthright citizenship makes no sense in a time when oceans can be crossed in hours and not months.

Originalism means getting rid of the majority of federal government agencies (including those that actually are useful). Infinite constitutional malleability means the feds can do whatever the hell they want. Pick your poision. It's probably well past time to re-write the thing, but that might just make things worse and if passing a budget is an ordeal getting a new constitution is impossible.
