We're talking about preventative care and other things here, not just people showing up at the ER.

We're not talking about voluntary abortions. We're talking about abortions due to miscarriages and other complications, which seriously put women at risk. And affiliated hospitals refusing to do it.
Cool story bro, but this virtually (99.99% of the time) NEVER happens.

Yup,
My sisters been a nurse for 30 years
She's got friends that work at the Catholic Hospital (actually work at both, they share doctors)

The Catholic Hospital will always save the patient
and tend to have great nurses too I'm told

They will always save the mother
Q: Name something that offends Republicans?
A: The actual teachings of Jesus

I’d suggest you do one of a few things to achieve your vision of a true Christian nation...

1. Change the Constitution to allow the federal government to provide universial healthcare, because it currently isn’t a federal responsibility. I know folks like you and Trip don’t like hearing that, but it is a fact. But fear not, the Constitution has a method of changing it, proving how progressive the founding fathers were...and I agree with this. But it does take some work that I doubt you want to take on.

2. Void the Constitution and start all over...hold on to your hat for that one, because I believe that will entail a civil war of some kind...

3. Keep passing laws like Obamacare, allow anybody who wants to claim refugee status to come in, and redistribute the wealth of those who have made money to pay to improve the situation of the poor...and eventually, we wil become Venezuela-North...

Christ said we wil always have the poor, but told us to help the poor...and if we don’t we will be judged accordingly...

He never said for the government to take responsibility of accomplishing that...

The United States is not, and never has been, a Christian country in the sense that Christian faiths are official religions of the country...

Judeo-Christian philosophy was the Founders basis for developing the Constitution...but they knew this country was populated by people escaping various forms of religious persecution...

I don’t want a Christian nation...I want a nation that follows its Constitution as written.

Is the Bible your go-to answer to everything?

It’s the Federalist Papers...

Huh? That's not what I asked. But since you held up the Fedaralist Papers as evidence that judeo principles are what the constitution was founded on....

"More Californians are considering fleeing the state as they blame sky-high costs, survey finds
A growing number of Californians are contemplating moving the state due to the sky-high cost of living, with sentiment highest among millennials, according to a new study.
Fifty-three percent say they are considering fleeing, representing a jump over the 49 percent a year ago.
The poll conducted by Edelman Intelligence found the chief reason for dissatisfaction isn't wildfires or earthquakes but housing cost and availability.

......63 percent of millennials in the 2019 survey indicated they were considering a move from sunny California. The chief reason for dissatisfaction: housing.....

...Statewide, the median home value in California was $547,400 at the end of 2018, while the U.S. median home value was $223,900. By comparison, the median home value in New York state stood at $289,000 and $681,500 in New York City; New Jersey was $324,700.

The Edelman survey found 47 percent of Californians are considering moving out of the state in the next five years. Again, it found the rates among millennials were higher with 55 percent of them contemplating the move. And 57 percent of Californians with kids under 18 also were considering packing up and leaving in the next five years.

Chapman's Kotkin believes the next wave of discontent in California won't necessarily be focused on housing costs but taxes.

"Taxes are a real killer if you're upper middle class and whether you're a younger person trying to buy a house or you just want to be able to spend what you make," said Kotkin. "There's also concern among people looking to retire and having their income taxed into oblivion."

At 12.3 percent, California led the 50 states in 2018 with the highest top marginal tax rate, according to the Federation of Tax Administrators. And that doesn't include an additional 1-percent surcharge for those Californians with incomes of $1 million or more....."

California bans state-funded travel to South Carolina, citing gay ‘discrimination’ in foster law
California Attorney General Xavier Becerra announces a ban on state-funded travel to South Carolina, citing a measure on the books that enables faith-based foster agencies to “discriminate” against gays and others.

Becerra says the ban becomes effective April 15 and will prohibit state-funded and state-sponsored travel.

A California law passed in 2017 prohibits state-funded or state-sponsored travel to states that discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

Tuesday’s action makes South Carolina the 10th state on California’s travel ban list.

I was wondering about that with the 10 states now being:
Alabama
Kansas
Kentucky
Mississippi
North Carolina
Oklahoma
Tennessee
Texas
South Carolina
South Dakota

Apparently it bans regular season scheduling. Events that were scheduled before a state was added to the list and post season are exempt.

North Carolina and South Carolina do pretty well with visitors - the Outer Banks are pretty popular and there's a lot of golf in South Carolina. Plus they're on the East Coast so just by default that means a lot of people. I agree with the other ones.
