Seriously, you would think think pwns would be all for the private sector doing something better than the government and at 1/3 the cost.Ibanez wrote:RIGHT? Truly, something out of science fiction. He doesn't like the government subsidy. IIRC, Space-X has more private funding than government (yesterday's launch was privately funded)Grizalltheway wrote:Seriously, you would think think pwns would be all for the private sector doing something better than the government and at 1/3 the cost.Ibanez wrote:

The special effects yesterday were much better than in 1967.89Hen wrote:Boring. Try 1967.Ibanez wrote:RIGHT? Truly, something out of science fiction. People are missing an angle to things like this. These events excite people, they inspire people. We should be for discovery.

No talk of the launch tonight? I certainly hope it goes well, but I just keep thinking of the Antares failure a few years back. We were standing out in our front yard trying to catch a glimpse and I could see the explosion on my laptop in the kitchen window.

I'll probably walk the dog to the dock at the end of the street about launch time. If it is clear to the east you can see the contrails from where we are. Night launches are actually cooler to see from here as you can see the bright ignition plume going across the sky.
