For whom did you vote?

We all know lots of folks here were dumb enough to vote for Gary Johnson, but I'm not sure we ever took an exit poll. Since it's anonymous, you can be honest.

Voted GJ just like in 2012.

Would again too. Smart enough to not vote establishment.

Johnson. Very begrudgingly. There was no good option.

I went with Jill Stein. I liked the idea of a female President, but Hillary was so corrupt and status quo that I couldn't feel good with that. So I went with the Other Her.

Gary Johnson, easily.

The majority of my political beliefs used to lie in the GOP but that party migrated away from me. I'll take the batshit crazy Libertarians over the monied parties, and I don't see anything changing that any time soon.

WTF, gannon.

Do you agree with her on much at all? I don't get the feeling you do with your posting history...

You voted for her just because she's a woman?

Seems fitting for how the majority of the first 19,999 went

Where's the "Didn't Vote" option? I didn't vote at all. I was struggling with the choice all day but in the end, on the way to the polling place, my daughter has explosive diarrhea in the car and I took that as a sign. It wouldn't have mattered. My county/state voted for Trump and my vote for Gary Johnson wouldn't have done anything to change the outcome of the election.

If you didn't vote, you don't vote.

Oh no, I generally think she's a loon. I thought her craziest position was the one where there were going to be committees of healing set up, like there have been in third world countries, where people can come and testify to how they were oppressed by previous administrations, cultures, races, etc. But yeah, I disagreed with her on tons of things.

And yes, I voted for her simply because she was a woman. Considering a woman was likely to be elected (despite JSO's claims now that it was always too close to call) I was voting in solidarity with all of those who really thought a historic moment in women's history was about to happen. Although identity politics is almost never a good thing, per se, it doesn't mean there isn't a silver lining here and there. And since, for me, I couldn't vote in good conscious for Trump (still think he's a buffoon) or for Hillary (patently corrupt) I was just staging a protest vote anyway. My very first Presidential vote was for Perot, so I'm used to the protest vote. :thumb:

If everyone who held their nose and voted against either of the major party candidates, voted 3rd party instead, there would be a chance for significant change.

Trump. He may be a narcissist like Obama was, and he may be batshit crazy, but for him to get both sides rattled made me realize that he may be on to something. He acts like a 5 year old much of the time, but I think he's demonstrated even in his first week in office that he's planning to be a president of action. Johnson seemed like a good idea until I saw him interviewed a few times and realized he's not what I expected, and Hillary was....Hillary.

Before you vilify me for my choice, I'd have taken Rubio over Trump. I think Rubio will have his chance later on. Carson seems like a good man, but just too nice to play ball in the big leagues. If Romney had run I'd have voted for him again.

Carson will never ever ever ever be president. Not with his "the world is 6,000 years old" bull.
