I saw a list of groups, people and things that will benefit from a Trump presidency.

One of those was "the homeless", because they only get attention when a Republican is president

It was only a couple days after the election that I noticed the stories on the news popping up.

That's interesting. Say what you want about Dubya, but he did more for the homeless population than most presidents and it's had impressive results. It was his "housing first" initiative that saw something like a 25-30% decrease in homelessness.
