Well sort of...
“It will be as exciting as the 1930s.”
That is what Donald Trump's chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon said about the incoming administration’s $1 trillion infrastructure plan. “With negative interest rates throughout the world,” he argued, “it’s the greatest opportunity to rebuild everything” from “shipyards” to “iron works” and just “throw it up against the wall and see if it sticks.”

Prohibition was mostly during the 20's and ended in the early 30's, Magellan.

I'd rather spend the money on our infrastructure than on Iraq's infrastructure.
And, I rather give the jobs to regular folks rather than the executives at some ridiculous defense department who shaft us for every item we purchase.
As long as the unions don't hijack the funds, I'm OK with it. Employ more quality people...not just the tenured idiots.

FDR inaugurated, March 4, 1933
FDR signs Act allowing the sale of booze: March 1933
Prohibition repealed, December 5, 1933.
Elections have consequences.

These were the clean cut Yankees of Joe DiMaggio and Lou Gehrig from 1936-39. The Babe was involved with the 1932 team, but he inhaled everything but roids.

Maybe a revamped CCC would allow the millennials who can't find jobs to get some work experience plus get some of the folks who "are no longer participating" in the work force to get out and help our crumbling bridges and highways.

That isn't the question. Did Prohibition and FDR co exist in the 1930s? Yes.

FDR and the New Deal were associated with the 30's. Prohibition was more associated with the Roaring 20's.
I understand why booze was the first thing Bandil thought of tho.
BAM!

Prohibition is also associated with the Great Depression which lead to it's repeal. Guess when that happened? 1929-late 30s (or mid 30s, depending on which economy you were in).

WWII and Prohibition both happened in the 30's.
