It's all Trump's fault. I used to think TDS was just an annoying phrase to be used to agitate those it was used upon, but nope, it's real.
The article itself is less inflammatory and states that "the data, though, suggest President Trump’s own appeal is the cause." Trump's Presidency has not turned out nearly as badly for Hispanics as they feared it would based on his rhetoric during the 2016 campaign. Lower taxes and family values should appeal to a lot of Hispanic voters if they're not turned off by demonizing immigrants.
He's not demonizing immigrants. He's demonizing illegal immigrants. Yuge difference.

And for lots of Hispanic CITIZENS, illegals are an issue that they feel strongly about. My son is married to a second generation Mexican-American woman who is more conservative than I am. Her mother speaks ill about illegals. Their family did everything legally.

Lighten up Francis. First, it isn't just about Trump but Republicans in general and the perception spread by the left is that he and they demonize all immigrants especially Hispanics.
Do you have some sort of warning system set up so that you can immediately respond to any perceived or potential criticism of Trump? You're like a roving TrumpBot.

Please don't tell Chizzy I'm sticking up for Richard Dawkins, but “the society will not be moving ahead with his address as we value our members comfort above all else”? Isn't this supposed to be a university?

I like how they say there at least 5 people charged, but then go on to name 6 people. I guess technically correct, but why not just complete the math and say there were at least 6 people charged?

They were the impetus for me to consider buying a firearm. While I support gun rights, I've never in my life felt like I might need one until this year.

Why say “at least” at all? I always love it when some news story says “at least 352 people are confirmed dead” or “more than 2716 people have contracted COVID. If you have a count that’s that specific, then say it. “Currently, 352 people are confirmed dead...” or “there are 2716 known cases of COVID,...” English really isn’t that hard.

Eh, if you think there are more names coming, and in this case there were, then I'm fine with leaving it with the "at least" - even with actual newspapers going away there is still value to brevity in news reporting and that's a pithy way to say that sentiment. I still take issue with knowing you have 6 people, you name six people, and then say "at least 5 people" - that just smacks of being sloppy.
