More small government out of Florida:
A bill proposed this week by a Republican state senator in Florida would require bloggers who write about Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), his Cabinet officers and members of the Florida legislature to register with the state.

Bloggers who receive compensation for a given online post about an elected state officer would have to register with the Florida Office of Legislative Services or the Commission on Ethics — though the requirement would not extend to the websites of newspapers or similar sites.

“If a blogger posts to a blog about an elected state officer and receives, or will receive, compensation for that post, the blogger must register with the appropriate office … within 5 days after the first 164 by the blogger which mentions an elected state officer,” reads the bill, introduced by Republican state Sen. Jason Brodeur.

n his quest to prove the federal government has been “weaponized” against conservatives, Republican House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan has touted the allegations of what he claims are “dozens” of whistleblowers who have come to his office with stories of discrimination and bias.

Enter BDK to rationalize how THESE whitleblowers are better and different and full of Star-Spangled Patriotism...
Well, if you're talking about the Ukraine phone call whistleblower, they actually didn't qualify as a whistleblower.

19 days after one of the worst environmental disasters in this country's history, nether Biden or Bootajudge couldn't be bothered to visit East Palestine. But Trump has.
What would they do other than divert emergency resources from an emergency? :dunce:

Why are you bringing up Ukraine? Who said anything about Ukraine? Oh that’s right - deflection and stupid comment because you have no logical or sensible rebuttal which isn’t politically biased.

How many thousands of people have died in Ukraine? How many have been injured or displaced? That doesn't qualify as an emergency too? You can argue about which should take priority but you can't say that Ukraine isn't an emergency.

Wrong. It was to point out that going to East Palestine makes no less sense than going to Ukraine. Christie explained it better than I could (6:45 mark, near end of video).

Don't be obtuse. Instead of blowing tens of millions on the logistics of POTUS travel to Ukraine during a war for photo ops, could have just used that same amount of $$ to send weapons/ammo/supplies instead.

How many Americans have died in Ukraine. How many have been injured or displaced? And lawl, don't even try to compare Russia now to Germany in the 1930s..

You don't like when I use your own strategy (of nitpicking on the details of a post rather than the message) against you?

A trump supporter does not have the high ground when complaining about millions spent on POTUS travel.

Like I said, whether Biden should have gone to Ukraine and how much we should spend on that emergency is a matter of priorities.

I'm not comparing Russia now to Germany in the 30's. We're early in the process of MAGAts advocating for isolationism so it's too early to know where it will lead and what boogeyman could raise their evil head without the US actively involved on the world stage. If we walk away from Ukraine as MAGAts want, it's far from certain but it could embolden Russia to invade the Baltic States and/or Poland. It could also embolden China to invade Taiwan. Sticking our heads in the sand now seems short sighted and strategically stupid. Tie up and wear down Russia while sending a message to China without costing American lives.

Russia doesn’t have the ability to take on Ukraine and NATO. And because of ‘maybes’ you want to gamble the US spending an untold ginomous sum of $$$ defending Ukraine. 100 billion in 1st year already with no end in sight.

And speaking of ‘coulds’, drawing down our defense stockpiles arming Ukraine could also embolden China to invade Taiwan. We don’t have the ability to simultaneously arm Ukraine and Taiwan to the level necessary if China invades.

As to your 1st sentence, mostly agreed. But instead of soending 50 million (or whatever the amount is) on travel a better use would be just send them 50 million in weaponry. If you’re going to blow the $$$ anyway at least do it on something more useful.

As to your next point agreed.

How hard can it be to find him, they have the license plate number. Shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes of police time to ID him and fire off a nice fine and/or court summons. Nice of the dunce to get clearly on camera.

Do they? Nothing in the article states that. Notice how there just happens to be a camera focused on that exact spot of pavement, but it looks like a bad angle for reading a license plate.

The government painting symbols on the streets is kind of like individuals wrapping their car or boat.

Not even close. What political symbol an individual(s) you paint on their private property (boat or car or house, etc) is nothing like govt painting a political symbol on a city street.

I have to agree with you. It's all degrees of virtue signaling, IMO, regardless if it's BLM, Trump, Thin Blue Line or your college mascot.

Though - it's not 100% on either side. There's an abandoned building here that has "Trump 2020" still spray painted on the side. It's down the street where some tool, to this day, paints " HODL GME" on the road.

To UNI's point - it's still ridiculous.

But was that govt paying for that building or street to be painted? That was the case in the OP. If not, its not the same.

And wtf is ‘HODL GME’ :?
