A few days ago he said he would "renegotiate" the national debt:

"Do you believe that we, in terms of the United States, need to pay a hundred cents on the dollar, or do you think that there's actually ways that we can renegotiate that debt?" CNBC's Andrew Ross Sorkin asked him.

"Yeah, I think — look, I have borrowed, knowing that you can pay back with discounts. And I have done very well,

Criticism and ridicule were immediate. So this morning he was on CNN trying to claim he didn't actually say what he said:

“I said if we can buy back government debt at a discount -- in other words if interest rates go up and we can buy bonds back at a discount -- if we are liquid enough as a country, we should do that,” he said.

That's not at all what he said. Answering "yeah" to the question of whether we can renegotiate debts then saying "I have borrowed knowing you can pay back with discounts" is not saying what he claims he said. Saying "you can pay back with discounts" is not saying "we can buy back government debt at a discount." The lying SOB was lying....again. And he does that crap all the time. He says something stupid or obviously untrue and tries to claim he never said it.

Again...I scooped you with this story already. Countries restructuring debt has happened before. The only difference now is how it's all pegged to our currency. Unchartered territory to an extent but it's not as of any of the masters of the universe clearly understand it either.

Trump is worse than Clinton is in that area and if you don't concede that you're just not being objective. You're buying into the "received wisdom" instead of trying to look objectively at the information out there.

Like Politifact. You will ignore the analysis based on ad hominem argument. You will ignore the fact that the frequency of false statements made by Trump DWARFS the frequency of false statements made by Clinton.

Can you cite any type of analysis along the lines of what Politifact does supporting your view that Clinton lies more than Trump does?

Watching Wolf Blitzer talk to a Trump Cultist about the pretending to be somebody else thing. Trump Cultist says it's a trivial matter. Blitzer says the matter itself might be trivial but the question is one of whether he lied on national television.
