“He’s made it OK to talk about these incredible concerns of European Americans today, because I think European Americans know they are the only group that can’t defend their own essential interests and their point of view,” Duke said. “He’s meant a lot for the human rights of European Americans.”
I've been watching Fox and MSNBC this afternoon and have't seen anything about this. But you can bet your bottom dollar that if Trump is the nominee this will be mentioned in Democrat campaign advertising.

Pulling out all the stops now, huh John?
It isn't like Trump has been courting him like the shameless Dems have been shamelessly felating Sharpton.

Hey it is what it is. And do you not think it's going to show up in Democrat campaign material if Trump makes the general election?

I actually think David Duke has made a lot of good points over the years, though I wouldn't say he's my idol.
Regardless, he's not a popular figure and now, if Republican Primary voters continue to behave in a brain dead manner so that Trump is nominated, the Democrats have audio of David Duke saying what he said. And they will use it in an intelligent, targeted way.
One more addition to the target rich environment the Democrats will have.

And unless Hillary gets charged with criminal offenses that would mean Hillary Clinton as President. But I'll admit that it's possible Hillary gets charged. But if she doesn't and Trump gets nominated...regardless of who is Vice Presidential candidate is...it's going to be a Democrat landslide victory.

Why should people care about this more than the Communist Party USA endorsing Obama in 2008?

I think David Duke is more of a lightning rod than the Communist Party USA is. I also think White Supremacy if more of a pariah than Communism is right now. I'm not saying it should be. But I think it is.

Sounds like you have the all-clear to bring those old sheets out of the cedar chest, JSO.

I think that comment is consistent with my belief that having David Duke endorse you is more of a problem than having the Communist Party USA endorse you.

Robert Byrd would say vote for Hillary if he was still breathing, so I am sure the KKK vote is split.

The target rich environment Democrats are going to have if Trump gets nominated got richer today:
http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/28/politics/ ... remacists/
He also apparently got caught either lying or displaying a really bad memory as he said:
"I don't know anything about what you're even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists," So I don't know. I don't know -- did he endorse me, or what's going on? Because I know nothing about David Duke; I know nothing about white supremacists."
But the article points out:
Despite what he said Sunday, Trump apparently did know Duke in 2000 -- citing him, as well as Pat Buchanan and Lenora Fulani -- in a statement that year explaining why he had decided to end his brief flirtation with a Reform Party presidential campaign.
"The Reform Party now includes a Klansman, Mr. Duke, a neo-Nazi, Mr. Buchanan, and a communist, Ms. Fulani. This is not company I wish to keep," Trump said in a statement reported then by The New York Times.
Then to top things if you Google "Donald Trump's Dad KKK" right now you'll see a bunch of reports of Trump's father being arrested in a Klan riot in 1927.
The Democrats have to be absolutely giddy about what's going on with the Republican Party right now.

It will not hurt him among the 30 to 40 percent of the 30 to 40 percent who vote in Republican primaries. But when he gets into the general election the population he has to win amongst is going to be a lot bigger. Polls show that even in the Republican primaries he would lose if either Cruz or Rubio could somehow get it into a one on one matchup. The only reason he's winning is that the Republicans who DON'T want him...and that's the majority of Republicans...are split among other candidates.
When it gets to the general election it's essentially going to be one on one unless Michael Bloomberg decides to run as an independent. And Bloomberg's not going to do that if HIllary gets the Democrat nomination.
The only scenario in which Trump can become President is if he gets the Republican nomination and Clinton gets charged with a crime due to the personal server thing then Bloomberg decides to run because he's said that he might do that if the two major party candidates are Trump and Sanders. If Clinton gets taken out by legal troubles but Bloomberg decides NOT to run Sanders will beat Trump.
Check this out:
http://www.npr.org/2016/02/28/468446194 ... le-ratings
Well, I'm worried about whether he can win the general election. If you look at the polls for the general election, the Gallup Poll or Peter Hart's Wall Street Journal poll, Donald has very high unfavorable ratings. In the latest Hart poll, he was - 28 percent of the general electorate had a positive view of him, and 59 percent had an unfavorable view. So with those kind of numbers, it would be hard to win to defeat Hillary Clinton.
Here's an article entitled,
Gallup: Trump Highest Unfavorable Rating Ever Recorded "
Currently, Donald Trump has a higher unfavorability rating than any nominated candidate from either major political party since Gallup began tracking favorability in 1992.
I'm telling you, the Republican Party electorate is in the process of snatching defeat from what looked a year ago to be the jaws of a very good chance at victory.
And the current unfavorable rating is going to get worse if he gets the nomination and the Democrats unleash on him in ways that the other Republicans would not because they're still trying to court the idiots that are supporting him. He gets the nomination and he's going to get absolutely killed in the general election.
