In many cases, I'd have loved to be be able to combine a couple answers or edit for specificity, but in the end you just pick the answer that is closest to how you feel. Interestingly, the survey did NOT ask me if I thought the world was 6,000 years old.

Issues we side on...
Domestic Policy

Do you support increased gun control?

Ben Carson: No
Your similar answer: No, and the federal government should pass national “stand your ground” laws

Should every person purchasing a gun be required to pass a criminal and public safety background check?

Ben Carson: No
Your similar answer: No, background checks are ineffective and a waste of government resources

Should people on the “no-fly list” be banned from purchasing guns and ammunition?

Ben Carson: No, this is a slippery slope that will eventually ban the sale of guns to anyone
Your similar answer: No, it’s unconstitutional to deny someone’s rights without due process

The Economy

Should able-bodied, mentally capable adults who receive welfare be required to work?

Ben Carson: Yes
Your similar answer: Yes, adults who receive government benefits should be required to work

Should all welfare recipients be tested for drugs?

Ben Carson: Yes
Your similar answer: Yes, test anyone receiving money from the government including employees and politicians

Education

Do you support the adoption of Common Core national educational standards?

Ben Carson: No, teach to each student's potential instead of uniform testing
Your similar answer: No, it's too costly and complicated to change my state's current educational standards to Common Core

Would you support increasing taxes on the rich in order to reduce interest rates for student loans?

Ben Carson: No
Your similar answer: No, and move all loans to the private sector

Healthcare

Do you support the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)?

Ben Carson: No
Your similar answer: No, the government should not be involved in the medical business

Should the federal government require children to be vaccinated for preventable diseases? stats Discuss

Ben Carson: No
Your similar answer: No, fund public ad camapaigns about the risks and benefits instead

Immigration

Should illegal immigrants be given access to government-subsidized healthcare?

Ben Carson: No
Your answers: No, the government should not subsidize healthcare

Do you support stronger measures to increase our border security?

Ben Carson: Yes
Your similar answer: Yes, and allow bordering states to manage their own border security

Foreign Policy

Should foreign terrorism suspects be given constitutional rights?

Ben Carson: No
Your similar answer: No, they should be tried in military tribunals but not subject to torture

Should the U.S. accept refugees from Syria?

Ben Carson: No, and send all refugees back to Syria
Your similar answer: No, we cannot risk the possiblity of terrorists entering our country

Elections

Should a photo ID be required to vote?

Ben Carson: Yes
Your similar answer: Yes, this is necessary to prevent voter fraud

Science

Should the government fund space travel?

Ben Carson: Yes
Your answers: Yes

The Environment

Should the government increase environmental regulations to prevent global warming?

Ben Carson: No, global warming is a natural occurrence
Your barely similar answer: No, provide incentives for alternative energy instead

Issues we do not side on...

Foreign Policy

Should the government decrease military spending? stats Discuss

Ben Carson: No
You: Yes

Immigration

Should Muslim immigrants be banned from entering the country until the government improves its ability to screen out potential terrorists?

You: Pro-choice, I don't agree with it but it's not my right or the government's to ban abortion

Ben Carson: No, marriage should be defined as between a man and woman
You: Take the government out of marriage and instead make it a religious decision

Should the government continue to fund Planned Parenthood?

Ben Carson: No, the government should not give funds to any organizations that perform abortions S
You: Yes, their affordable services have the potential to save many lives

the Economy

Should employers be required to pay men and women, who perform the same work, the same salary? stats Discuss

We could not determine Ben Carson’s stance on this issue

We could not determine Ben Carson’s stance on this issue

Ted Cruz 89%
Marco Rubio 86%
Rand Paul 84%
Ben Carson 84%
Donald Trump 79%
Jeb Bush 73%
Hillary Clinton 25%
Bernie Sanders 9%

I think that probably includes the assumption that Trump actually believes what he says at any given time; which I think is highly unlikely.

Who'd a thunk that Donald Trump would, in this race, have more staying power than Rafael Eduardo Cruz? Color me surprised.

The problem for me was that some of the questions did not provide the answer I wanted to give... so I ended up selecting the closest answer which was sometimes NO even when my answer was not NO
