Will anyone actually vote for Hillary because of Hillary and not as a vote against the Republican candidate?

That's actually a great question...Pwns wrote:Will anyone actually vote for Hillary because of Hillary and not as a vote against the Republican candidate?
Seriously?Chizzang wrote:That's actually a great question...Pwns wrote:Will anyone actually vote for Hillary because of Hillary and not as a vote against the Republican candidate?
I've taken to wasting my vote the last election - and - this one forthcoming
But I remember happily voting for Obama in the first go-round
I was absolutely convinced he was going to be a great president
Is there anybody on here who thinks Hillary will be a great president..?
You'll show us!JohnStOnge wrote:No. I will say that for the first time I may vote for a fringe candidate from another party if Trump gets the Republican nomination. I absolutely will not vote for Trump. But I absolutely will not vote for Hillary either. I'll either have to find someone else to vote for or not vote.
Won't be trying to show anybody anything in that scenario. It would just be the first time in my lifetime that I could not in good conscience vote for either of the two major Party candidates.93henfan wrote:You'll show us!JohnStOnge wrote:No. I will say that for the first time I may vote for a fringe candidate from another party if Trump gets the Republican nomination. At this point I don't know. I do think if you matched her up against Marco Rubio she could lose.93henfan wrote:Trump can quit tonight and Hillary still wins.
If the election were held today Rubio vs Clinton Rubio would win93henfan wrote:Trump can quit tonight and Hillary still wins.
Like I said, using those RCP poll averages you linked TODAY Rubio would beat Clinton.JohnStOnge wrote:At this point I don't know. I do think if you matched her up against Marco Rubio she could lose.93henfan wrote:Trump can quit tonight and Hillary still wins.
But before Trump got involved and screwed things up there was a really good chance of having the Republican candidate beat her. Heck, before Trump got involved polls were showing her losing a head to head popular vote match up to Rand Paul.
Trump just totally screwed things up for the Republicans. A gift from Heaven for the Democrats. You can look at the polls at http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls ... _race.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and see that Trump is one of the worst choices the Republicans could make if they want to win the General Election. Yet the Trump idiots out there continue to allow him to screw things up.
He's a buffoon who will, if nominated, get absolutely annihilated in a general election. What's going on now with potential Republican primary voters supporting him is one of the saddest, stupidest things I've ever seen. It's suicide.

You say Trump would get annihilated, but according to the RCP link you gave Clinton is only +1 over Trump in the Rasmussen and +2 in the CNN. It would either be a close Clinton win or a landslide, as the polls vary widely.
According to the RCP avg, Clinton vs Cruz today would be a tossup. Clinton versus Carson would be a tossup. Yes,that is what the polls show. Heck, Clinton is barely ahead in a matchup with the fat man.
As scandal plagued and unpopular as she is, she's going to have a hard time blowing out whoever the Republicans nominate..
I'm honestly baffled as to why you don't love Trump. He pretty much says the same things you post here to a national audience.JohnStOnge wrote:No. I will say that for the first time I may vote for a fringe candidate from another party if Trump gets the Republican nomination. The wheels of that political machine didn't work so well the last time they rolled it out in 2008. Hillary is clearly a very strong candidate, but she is far from invincible, as prior elections have shown us.Chizzang wrote: Once the wheels of the political machine start rolling (see: Clinton Politics)

John's more sensitive to public opinion than he likes to let on - same reason he goes to extraordinary lengths to emphasize the fact that he once took a statistics class. While he is an evangelical he is somewhat embarrassed about having that known in educated company. Since his wife is an employee of the republicans it doesn't happen much at home but here on line he'd just as soon avoid being the butt of the japing and generalGrizalltheway wrote:I'm honestly baffled as to why you don't love Trump. I threw away my last two Presidential votes for Ron Paul and Gary Johnson. It really makes no difference for me in a Navy blue state. I'm really thinking of registering as a (D) again, just so my primary vote could maybe count.
I was riding the bus to work the day after Obama was elected. I've never seen so many smiling faces and happy people. I was hopeful for better times. 7 years later, the look of misery is back. And has been for a good 6 1/2 years.

Gas under $2/gal, record stock market, record war profits with all the war we want backed up and just waiting to buy weapons.....its a conks wet dream, andy. You'll be jacking your meat until the tweezers melt..
Exactly, and that's why Hillary won't beat anyone "fairly quickly".Chizzang wrote:BDKJMU wrote:

Kinda like the "Romney in a landslide" Fox News reporting...

And John,
Actually it felt good last time around not voting for any of these f*cks
I felt liberated
If it's Trump v Clinton and I vote 3rd party it'll be the 4th time since 1980 I've voted 3rd party. It IS liberating....Chizzang wrote:And John,

I don't think many of those "smiling faces" riding the bus have portfolios in the stock market.houndawg wrote:Bullshit.andy7171 wrote:Truth be told, I couldn't really give a ****, as long as the next presidents name isn't Bush or Clinton.
