Fully recognizing there's a balance between the nanny state and economic freedom, still, this is an interesting exercise in comparing how conservative/religious states compare.

JSO, I'm going to need you to break some of these numbers down for us.

Obviously when New Yorkers move to South Carolina (which they are doing in pretty good numbers ) they , by definition, move down the socially ;)

Oh look, another example of someone thinking they're clever posting color-coded maps and showing social and economic problems being higher in southern states.

There's no need for a drawn-out JSO answer. It's called the Ecological Fallacy. There is no uniform distribution across states of age, denomination, race, and other factors like that. You have to make corrections for demographics or comparisons aren't useful.

Or is the point of the article in the OP to show that places with more of the less evolved darkies have more social problems?

Mormons have some bat shit crazy beliefs, but they tend to be very hardworking and motivated. Unlike those lazy Southerners who just want to leave everything in the hands of Jesus and sip sweet tay on their porch. :coffee:

Football coach. Basketball coach. Now these are outrages. Except that they are the only public employees who develop some income and are held accountable for their results. When last did anyone at the DMV get fired for bad service?

I'm as neutral regarding religion as I am when it comes to politics.

Would you care to link all your posts that cast a positive light on religion? I sure can post dozens that don't.

I'm not neutral on politics or religion, I have no problem admitting that. You on the other hand seem to want to pretend.

I'm not neutral on Religion
I will tell you right to your face that if you think the books of the Bible are anything more than ancient dogma scripted decades after the wildly exaggerated events and crafted around gross hyperbole into a giant global corporation basing its success entirely on the stupidity of the average human...

THAT ^ is Christianity circa 2015 my friend (and good luck with that)

When did I ever say I was neutral? I'm an independent. I pick from both parties. Neutral would imply I don't pick at all.

On a related note, did you get your seats yet for the Democratic Convention next summer? Your seats must be great!
