Why was it so easy and quick for the San Bernie shooter to get a fiancée visa for his Saudi/Paki wife and her to get permanent visa status in under two years, when it takes others (like from Cambodia) years just to get the same (even when married)?

The K1 fiancee visa is the quickest immigrant visa- it takes less than a year for most places. Also- some countries have a much lower demand for fiancee visas- so bride factories like SE Asia can take a little longer just due to workload. Places like Saudi Arabia are probably pretty quick.

BTW the permanent resident status is pretty much automatic- there's really no wait period for that except that in the case of the K1 it happens after the marriage (which has to happen within 90 days of arrival in the US)

Because Obama wants preferential treatment given to Wahhabi Muslims.

So a good way to slip a terrorist into the country without them undergoing the scrutiny that, say, a refugee would, might be to find a dupe and provide them with a spouse?

It doesnt matter- the checks are the same. It is the volume of cases that makes things slower

But the fact that this woman made it through the checks should give pause to those who think they will weed out terrorists.... it only weeds out KNOWN bad guys

One of the local radio speculations is that he was targeted for radicalization based on his on-line dating profile, and she was a plant so to speak and used him to get to the United States and radicalized him.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, especially with regards to her.

that sounds a little far fetched to me- we're talking about talking someone into killing a shitload of people and essentially killing yourself, too

someone has to already be pretty close to wanting to do that in the first place

then again, women can make you do dumb things
