The most interesting part of the night:
Uncle Bernie said enough with the Hildabeast's emails. The objective establishment press reacts...
...and now dback and lube boy will now tell us all about the mythological left-wing bias in the media.

He must be angling for Veep to not go after her for the obvious elephant in the room.

The debate opened with Anderson Cooper accusing Hillary Clinton of flip-flopping on the Trans-Pacific Partnership for political expediency: “[You have expressed] support for these trade deals dozens of times—you called it the ‘gold standard’—now you said last week that you’re against it,” said Cooper. “Will you say anything to get elected?”
Clinton parried, saying she said that she had “hoped” it would be the gold standard, not that it “was” the gold standard. She may have used the “hope” statement at some point, but in 2012, she offered no such equivocation: Speaking at an Australian naval industry hub, Clinton said the TPP “sets the gold standard in trade agreements to open free, transparent, fair trade, the kind of environment that has the rule of law and a level playing field.”

Watched some of it last night, it only confirmed that this thing is Hillary’s to lose. Kudos to Cooper, he was fairly tough on questioning and it wasn’t as softball as I thought it would be. The questions weren’t angled at getting the candidates to attack each other like in the conk debate, but I don’t think anyone on that stage had the balls to go after Hillary to begin with.
Hillary is far and away the most polished of them (well everyone but Sanders should just go away already). That will be all that matters for the Dem primary. Sanders is too “bleh”. More importantly the solid Hillary performance should be enough to keep Biden on the sidelines. Only way he joins now is if Hillary is indicted, and we all know that isn’t going to happen.

Yup, last night just closed the door on Biden entering the race. Hillary is the nominee and Bernie gets to go along for the ride until peeling off sometime next Spring. And apparently with Lincoln Chafee being a non-factor everyone can rest easy and keep measuring things in inches and feet.

So that is what an adult, real debate looks like. Kudos to the Democrats for showing they have multiple people that could continue to lead our country back from the dark days of the Bush debacle.

You do realize Trump is going to win the Republican nomination right...?
I mean it's October and he's still here - when Conservative pundits assured us he would be gone mid-summer
And this isn't even the same pundits who predicted a Romney landslide
it's a fresh batch of pundits for gods sake

I don't think you'll ever see me defending Hillary.
I originally started posting on AGS political forums arguing with Travis about Hillary vs. Obama. Not agaist Conks.

Cleets, I will bet you a case of your favorite craft beer that Trump is not the nominee. Are you on?

Jim Webb made sense, speaking as a moderate, but as we learned from Jimmy Carter, a Democrat that is elected speaking as a moderate will not be allowed to govern that way by either his own party nor the opposition.

So 8 years of Obama (who had a super majority in his first 2 years to do whatever he wanted) wasn't enough? BTW you see where our Nobel Peace Prize winner announced keeping troops in Afghanistan? Leadership baby!!!

Multiple people? Huh? What debate was being watched? The real clear thing from that debate was that Hillary was and is the only real viable candidate the Dems have. It helps that she's one of the younger ones too as she'll still be less than 70 when and if she's innaguarated (hence why the old and white comment actually does resonate), but I don't understand the comment about the depth of the field when only one person is legit.

Well, Ganny, I believe jon is speaking in relative terms here.
Considering the Donk pool is a shallow festering mud puddle, you could say 5 nitwits sharing a single brain cell has some depth.

It was closer to 2 months than 2 years.

Yes, the supermajority the Dems had in Congress lasted from July 8, 2009 to February 14, 2010. From when Franken was sworn in until Scott Brown was sworn in. So a little over 7 months.

Is he the same guy who pledged to end two wars, yet we're still in both Iraq and Afghanistan and bombing Syria?
