10 dead, 20 injured. Shooter is "neutralized". No word on shooter's religion or motivation.

It's sad that this type of tragedy is way too commonplace nowadays. Business as usual...innocent lives lost.

Not sure there's any solution to this other than getting rid of all guns, and I don't see anyway that we can get rid of all guns. America's a weird place, other places have lots of guns and not that much less than here, and they don't have these issues. Kinda like how other countries didn't have Glass-Steagel regulations and managed not to have an economic meltdown. We're a weird country, for good and bad.

They should have made the campus a gun free zone.

It was according to their website. I guess the gun man wasn't reading the signage.

I was close to responding earlier, but I wanted to confirm the news that apparently the shooter was actually under the influence of pot. Should have the confirmation soon. :geek: :kisswink:

Well this is interesting:
The gunman who opened fire at a community college in Roseburg, Oregon, on Thursday, asked people in an academic building to stand up and state their religion before he began shooting, a witness told the local News-Review newspaper.

Kortney Moore, 18, was in Snyder Hall when the shooter asked people to name their religion and then began firing, she told the paper.

NO! Fuck you faggot! You are the one spouting off all the time about how you wish school shootings on others when you get behind in an argument. You cannot play both sides. You are a fucking dick.

I wish I believed in Karma, because you would be getting a HUGE dose of it.

Hey, I think he was shooting atheists. Or he's Catholic and shooting non-catholics.

Or he since he said it and started firing before anyone responded, was just mentally ill.

"...Joe Olson, former president of the college, told The Associated Press the school has only one security officer on duty at a time, and that person isn’t armed.

He says last year, one of the biggest debates on campus was whether the school should have armed security officers. He says the college had three training exercises with local law agencies in the past two years, “but you can never be prepared for something like this.”...."

ROSEBURG, OR—In the hours following a violent rampage in southwestern Oregon in which a lone attacker killed 13 individuals and seriously injured 20 others, citizens living in the only country where this kind of mass killing routinely occurs reportedly concluded Thursday that there was no way to prevent the massacre from taking place. “This was a terrible tragedy, but sometimes these things just happen and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop them,” said Ohio resident Lindsay Bennett, echoing sentiments expressed by tens of millions of individuals who reside in a nation where over half of the world’s deadliest mass shootings have occurred in the past 50 years and whose citizens are 20 times more likely to die of gun violence than those of other developed nations. “It’s a shame, but what can we do? There really wasn’t anything that was going to keep this guy from snapping and killing a lot of people if that’s what he really wanted.” At press time, residents of the only economically advanced nation in the world where roughly two mass shootings have occurred every month for the past six years were referring to themselves and their situation as “helpless.”

So you want the school to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to have armed security guards in every class you're the fucking idiot

If there's any blood on anyone's hands other than the shooters it's on the NRA and their moronic supporters
