The fact that Democrats have enough wiggle room to lose those three states is pretty damning for Republican chances in 2016.

You seem to be assuming that Trump's appeal extends no further than 25% of blacks and registered Republicans. Reagan had his Democrats. Trump will also.

Also assuming that every single 2012 voter who went with Obama over Romney would go Clinton or Sanders over Trump or whoever the GOP selects.

Trump has the Jesse, Arnold, Franken celebrity appeal. Most people won't associate Trump with a political party when they vote. If his momentum continues, he may end up as president despite what the Donks and Conks think.
