An Auburn woman calling herself an ambassador for God and his son, Jesus Christ, filed a federal lawsuit Friday against all homosexuals.

Sylvia Driskell, 66, said in the suit that she is petitioning the U.S. District Court of Omaha to be heard "in the matter of homosexuality. Is homosexuality a sin, or not a sin?"

In a seven-page letter framed as a lawsuit, she cited Bible passages that described homosexuality as an abomination and against nature, and she said never before has the nation or the state been "besiege(d) by sin."

"Will all the judges of this nation judge God to be a lier [sic]?" Driskell asked.

She said she petitioned the court because she feels it imperative to stand up for the moral principles on which the nation was founded.

We also were founded by people who wanted religion to have nothing to do with government. She conveniently forgets that.

It'll never happen but what we need is for a homosexual who wants to be cured to sue the American Psychiatric Association (APA) for taking homosexuality off its list of psychiatric disorders for political/philosophical rather than scientific reasons. The rational would be, "If they had continued to recognize homosexuality as a psychiatric disorder people would've continued to work on means of curing it. But since they took it off that didn't happen. It could very well be that a cure would be available today if the APA hadn't done what it did for political/philosophical reasons."

I don't think they'd win but it'd be interesting to see the ASA "on trial" for what it did. It should be. What they did is an absolute disgrace.
