Cage Match: Harris v Chomsky

For Chizzy…
This discussion dovetails with the "End of Liberalism" thread from awhile back.
A very entertaining exchange.
Professional atheist Sam Harris looks like an idiot in this email exchange with Noam Chomsky
The popular atheist and torture-supporter Sam Harris recently tried to “engineer a public conversation” with radical linguist Noam Chomsky “about the ethics of war, terrorism, state surveillance, and related topics.” Harris shared the exchanged publicly, chalking it up as an “unpleasant and fruitless encounter.”
Readers might disagree.

Chizzy's probably sleeping one off, so I'll respond first, after somehow making it through half of that unbelievably tedious exchange. If it's a real exchange-- it might be a troll job.
These two idiots are both pious frauds and deserve each other. I'll add them both to my 2015 celebrity deathwatch list. Chomsky might have been on it already.

You my friend are like an old worn in, comfortable jacket.

I still have my 1990-vintage Father-Knows-Best Orvis hunting jacket with patches on the elbows!

Wise men speak because they have something to say. Fools speak because they have to say something.
-- Plato
Both of these fuckers, Harris and Chomsky, not kalm and Ivytalk, just have to say something.

New atheism...the idea that aggressive foreign policy is justified as long as it''s muslins or other religious fanatics that we are blowing up.

Firstly I'd like to respond to all you Douche Nozzles individually but I will hold off on that...
Suffice to say that these guys are two of my favorite people to read
Not because I agree with them entirely (or at all on certain points)
But because they actually THINK
Unlike 85% of this forum

I think Libs are more than 15% of this forum Cleets. It's clear that's who you think the 15% is.

Not dumb. Just doctrinaire, progressive, and full of nuance.
There's a difference I'm sure!
