Amen!
Doing "the right thing" and treating people with kindness and respect comes from the heart and the mind........not some directive from a book written by another human being.

Of course it is true.
You also don't need to go to school in order to be educated. So what's your point?

What ever helps you sleep at night. What would Odin do?

Smite you.
And you didn't answer the question.

Believe what ever helps you sleep. And keep it to yourself.

Of course. Next statement:
We need the government to take care of us and everything in our lives.

Excellent! I was hoping there would be further questions.
No. We need government to provide a reasonable amount of regulation to insure security and free market.

Go ask your thought provoking question to someone else. I'm just a Catholic Ogre who is content with the way things are working in my world. I don't have the need to justify my sense of morals in a I-aa football messageboard.
Look! There's another tree! Go bark up it!

Don't take it personal. It wasn't a shit at you. (Or 89)
You do realize you don't have to reply to the thread, right?

It was sad and lifeless, just sitting there. Almost like a Sprout thread. I had empathy for it.

Religion
like so many things with such a broad meaning and scope of purpose
gets a lot of credit where it does not deserve credit
and gets a lot of blame where it does not deserve blame
My issues with it are related to its group psychology
Assisting bad ideas in spanning the eons of time
and defending them with more bad ideas
"Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups it is the rule." - Friederich Nietzsche
Individual accountability
Individual purpose in relation to your personal understanding of GOD
Group think is almost always (even at its most harmless) a form of mild neurosis...
ranging all the way to complete insanity

He's right when he says we need more lovers. But he doesn't take into account the overpopulation caused by all of those savages reproducing at will.

1% is 1%. Anything more would be 1.01%+. That would be too difficult for people to whine about.
