Carly Fiorina blames liberal environmentalists for Calif. water crisis
By Jessica Chasmar - The Washington Times
Monday, April 6, 2015
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO and potential Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is blaming California’s water crisis on “liberal environmentalists” who are “willing to sacrifice other people’s lives and livelihoods at the altar of their ideology.”“With different policies over the last 20 years, all of this could be avoided,” Ms. Fiorina said in an interview Monday on Glenn Beck’s radio show, The Blaze reported.
“Despite the fact that California has suffered from droughts for millennia, liberal environmentalists have prevented the building of a single new reservoir or a single new water conveyance system over decades during a period in which California’s population has doubled.”Ms. Fiorina said that as a result, 70 percent of California’s rainfall “washes out to sea” every year, The Blaze reported.
“California is a classic case of liberals being willing to sacrifice other people’s lives and livelihoods at the altar of their ideology. It is a tragedy,” Ms. Fiorina said.“Government has grown so huge, so powerful, so costly, so complex, it is literally crushing the life out of this country,” she argued. “It is crushing small and family-owned businesses, which are the economic engine of our nation. It is crushing possibilities out of people’s lives by entangling them in a web of dependence from which they cannot escape. The weight, the cost and the power of government are literally crushing the potential of the nation.“We must, absolutely must, get government under control, which means reducing its size and its power and its complexity in really fundamental ways,” Ms. Fiorina said, The Blazereported. “And that is why I am seriously considering running for president, and will make a final decision over the next month or so. I have come to the point of view that too many politicians have been captured in this system for too long, and they no longer see what needs to be done.

She should practice first running for governor of CA and see how that works out. She can't mess up anything else there.

Actually has run for both Governor and Senator. This might be a name recognition move for another Senate run since Boxer is retiring and Feinstein won't be far behind.
She would dance circles around either.

Not that it matters. Any Dem candidate can just refuse to debate and then clean house at the polls on election day.

Two time loser, a natural for the GOP.
She makes more money failing in the private sector.

Two time loser in politics, never held elected office, fired by Hewlett-Packard. Still the best republican candidate yet.

Fiorina is probably fourth or fifth in the list of potential candidates...
...but still better than anyone on the Donk side.

Not as good as Jill Stein.

In other words, Government has grown so large and costly, that we need the government to build a lot of reservoirs and water diversion projects so that we can take water from the people in the mountains, and the fisherman in the rivers and seas, and give it to people elsewhere. The people I want government to be big enough to help are the people I deem to be the most important...at the expense of the other people who aren't nearly as important.

She could probably get herself into the bonus pool at Nestle if she plays it right.

Building reservoirs is taking water from the mountain people.
The shit is running down hill! If you don't stop it, it continues on into the ocean! How wasteful of nature.

Trout have notoriously poor turnout at the polls. You have to put the water where the voters are.

Global warming doesn't have any human inputs but liberals are causing the water shortage in CA.

If there weren't any laws prohibiting building dams, the dam would have been built, and a water reserve would be in place.

The California assholes have already drained the Colorado to the point where it doesn't even reach the ocean anymore. But yeah, the obvious solution is dams, dams, and more dams!

And it would be dry like the rest of them.

She doesn't have a solution for the desert that is California
The central valley has been a desert for a thousand years
It was converted it to farmland by redirecting water away from other sources
Lets not get to hasty and forget:
For 75 years the Central Valley has been Americas most productive Farm Land
Farmland built in a desert - the Sacramento watershed and San Joaquin water shed were never capable of supporting the entire Central Valley water needs
Now the state is experiencing a drought
and the Desert that is the Central Valley is returning to its natural status as DESERT
The solution will not come from a politician
