Rand Paul: Foreign donations to Clinton Foundation ‘thinly veiled bribes’
By MIKE ALLEN 3/20/15 2:55 PM EDT Updated 3/20/15 4:36 PM EDT
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) told POLITICO on Friday that foreign contributions to the Clinton Foundation are “thinly veiled bribes,” and said Hillary Clinton should return any donations from Saudi Arabia or other countries that abuse the rights of women.

“The normal Clinton response is to cover up, deny, refuse to acknowledge,” Paul said in a telephone interview as he was being driven through New Hampshire. “But the question is whether the country will rise up and respond to the unseemly nature of accepting foreign donations. “

Paul said that in addition to Saudi Arabia, the foundation should return donations from the United Arab Emirates and Brunei.

“In countries that stone people to death for adultery and imprison people for adultery, this is the kind of thing you would think someone for women’s rights would be standing up against, instead of accepting thinly veiled bribes,” the senator added.

One politician pointing out another politicians hypocrisy is (as always) entertaining...
But one won't need to dig very far to find Rand Paul smarmy political hypocrisy

Wait till the Clinton Machine kicks into high gear

Sure, and who doesn't look forward to that.

Still...

We convene businesses, governments, NGOs, and individuals to improve global health and wellness, increase opportunity for women and girls, reduce childhood obesity, create economic opportunity and growth, and help communities address the effects of climate change.
It's not her campaign were talking about here.

Are you suggesting that obvious conflicts of interests while in office are unusual..?
Seriously have you been around this country very long???

I'm not saying its no big deal
I'm not saying I like it

:coffee: I believe the phrase "Par for the course" might be used here

So a former first lady turned Senator, turned presidential candidate, turned Sec Def, turned presidential hopeful accepts money from authoritarian female hostile regimes for her and her husbands global foundation designed to expand women's rights.

Happens all the time...

Really..?
I think you' might be just a little hyper focused on the Clintons
like every Republican the moment they realized she was going to be their next president

:coffee: Suck it up boys - this might sting a little

I got 4 words for you:
Plausible deniability = Jill Stein

What's this? American voters being hypocritical about what they want out of their politicians?

Honesty?
Morality?
A non-biased viewpoint on the current state of society?

Its funny how one side will ALWAYS point out the negatives of the opposing party members but when their side does the same things its either "well they all do it", "they was doing it first" and the ever present "But BUSH!!!!1!!11!". Image

I've never been a fan of Hillary. I can't wait until the debates where she will attempt to paint her tenure at DOS as anything more than a complete train wreck.

And no- there is little to compare to Hilkary's foundation shenanigans unless you want to start mentioning names like Nixon.

Yes all politicians use their power with varying degrees of unethical behavior. But there are other Democrats I would trust more in the Oval Office. In fact, right now I prefer the benign incompetence we are currently operating under than the prospect of President Claire Underwood.

Meh,
I guess I've lost my ability to care on this one
I've been beaten numb by the last 15 years

:coffee:

Who could have imagined that our last two presidents would make Bill Clinton look AMAZING

I'm getting to like Jill more and more. First, any 60-something woman who runs for office without dyeing her gray hair has self-awareness and confidence. Second, she's been arrested more than any other presidential candidate. Third, she's gained more votes than any other woman Presidential candidate in history. Fourth, she graduated from Harvard-Radcliffe in '72, meaning that she probably braided her armpits in a socially meaningful way. What's not to like, with the possible exception of her positions on the issues? :thumb:

Careful there Ivy...
She's half batsh!t crazy - however - I do enjoy her being the way she is
And she does seem to get arrested fairly regularly, which I have to admit I like that
