A black University of Virginia student sustained injuries to his face and head after being detained by a white police officer during an altercation outside of a popular Irish pub in Charlottesville on Tuesday night.

The injuries, captured in cell-phone videos and photographs from a crowd of students nearby, left the student with bloody streaks down his face. In one of the videos, the student calls the police offer “racists” as they try to handcuff his hands behind his back.

The student, junior Martese Johnson, was arrested after he was denied entry to the Trinity Irish Pub. The incident occurred on the sidewalk near a strip of restaurants and bars adjacent to campus called “The Corner.”

And he was arrested for trying to use a fake ID to get into a bar.

So much for his understanding of the word, "honor."

But wait, there's more...he has a picture of himself holding a sign that says, "I am the ONLY [caps his] Black student the Honor Committee."

So now it makes sense that he shouted, "racist" to the cops. It seems as if race is the only thing on his mind...not honesty.

I also find it ironic that people are trying to use his status as an Honor Committee member to indicate that he, and his behavior, should not be questioned, when he is being arrested for using a fake ID to get into a bar at 1:25am.

It is entirely possible that he is one of those dopey students who try to resist arrest and subsequently get taken down.

I've noticed over the years that blacks who are the most racist towards others and hold this view of "black oppression" and that all white people are out to get them are the ones who are college educated. You would think that they would know the difference between 1965 and 2015. That's why I will never take anyone seriously who attempts to claim that things today are "just as bad as they were" back during the Civil Rights era.

So now minorities are on this revenge tip about making white people answer for their so-called crimes, and the pure selfishness shown by those who refuse to take control of their own lives because its always easier to blame "the Man" for keeping them down.

Racism will never end until ALL sides agree to move on from it, yet we are still teaching our children these beliefs and calling it "opening their eyes to the real world".

So there's no scenario under which this kid winds up with a cut on his face that could be justified?

I had a guy grapple with me around the waist several years ago and I punched him in the nose. He bled like a pig and then he went to jail. He was refusing to leave a parking lot after being refused service at a bar.

This took place in front of Easterby's restaurant on Maybank Highway on James Island. The guy had been drinking.

Maybe this white cop in a college town, knowing all eyes are on white cops, especially in college towns... just decided he would commit career suicide by savaging a black student in front of a college bar full of witnesses. Maybe that's what happened.

Or maybe this story is click bait for SK and Kleak, and HD will likely chime in soon about the officer not being properly idolized is what caused him to snap.

And if you really feel like your rights are being violated, there are procedures in place for that very purpose. Instead of confronting the officer and escalating the situation, suck it up and take it up with the department in a formal complaint after the fact.
