Seattle's police department has a YouTube channel for its body camera footage

What sucks is when one of these cops gets his ass kicked or shot they will delete the footage. It will be more censored than North Korean Internet..............

Yeah because that happens all the time in Seattle....
I think that last officer killed on duty in Seattle was in 2009

Its going to happen a LOT more all over the country and Seattle is no exception...........my point still stands.

IIRC, Seattle uses Taser Axon cameras, which are high quality cameras. We just worked with them in January on their cameras. Good guys. But blurring it out makes the channel useless, IMO. I don't recall how long they can keep the video, the ACLU wants the videos maintained for as short a time as possible. They've requested 14 days from local authorities.

I know that violent crime in general is down because there are way more people carrying guns and getting concealed permits. There are many reason people are carrying more and more, rude cops, police cant do their jobs, people are pissed at Obama trying to erode their freedom etc.

I am pretty fond of the Seattle Police Department in general terms
and am really fond of my local Redmond Police

Boston cops were mostly on the take but they were really good at leaving people alone

And when I lived in Missoula I knew almost all the cops there
and got along really well with them
I'm pretty sure you're way over reacting

If either of you were older you would see that the macro cause of increasing assholishness among cops is related to the decline and fall of our middle class. Back in grade school during the Cold War there wasn't a day went by that we weren't told that what made our way of life so much better than the Soviet Unions was that we had a middle class and they didn't.

Now that the middle class is vanishing there is less doubt among cops about which of the two remaining classes you're part of - the protected class or the protected from class.

There are a few people in this country that when something bad happens or they are attacked the first thought that goes through their mind is call the police.

One of the many problems with that line of thinking is the cops were raised the same way (usually by stupid single mothers) and the cops are not even capable of helping out because quite a few of them are incredible pussies. I do not feel safe because the police are there I feel safe because I can take care of myself in more ways than a potential threat wants to deal with. I can take it anywhere they want to go. A cop cant.

Now couple the fact that pussies raised by shitty single mothers are lining up in droves to be cops and the fact that most of them cannot defend themselves one on one they feel the need to look intimidating so they throw on some body armor/stab vests and some tactical belts and bite proof gloves, still doesnt help. Now they are even more unathletic than they were before they started. Its like if you put a 50cal on cleets, very few people would think twice about taking his wallet.

Now couple in the fact that cops become cops because they are social misfits and you have a cocktail for disaster. (Thanks again single moms)

WTF? I never said anything about cops making anything safer. They show up late and take a report and if somebody doesn't tell them they're a hero every day for doing the job they volunteered to do, usually with pretty good pay and bennies, they feel unappreciated and get all pissy and start with the "well then the next time you're in trouble call a hippie" bleating.... like a hippie wouldn't be able to fill out a report...
