Just the Bible.

But I did have an Evolution course in college so I think I got the gist of Origin of the Species.

I think everyone should read The Bell Curve with an open mind.

Won't happen though.

I must say that the books that influenced me most are Statistics textbooks. That's how I look at the world, Through the rules of statistical inference. And I have indeed read statistics textbooks kind of for fun when I didn't have to and it wasn't associated with courses.

I've read most of them.

Now that said, let me say that I am generally on the same page with Tyson on almost all things.

But if I had seen his name on the link I never would have clicked it. He is an insufferable prick and if I had to spend 30 seconds with him I would probably beat his ass mercilessly.

Just his snarky, unworthy attempt at even coming close to Sagan in hosting that failure of a reload of Cosmos alone earns him a beating

You know I was thinking about this thread today and I must say that my life was completely changed by a statistics Book. I went to one of those used book sales and bought an introductory statistics book for $1. It is titled Elementary Statistics. But up front it had a chapter about the relationship between probability and statistics that just really fascinated me. I read the whole thing cover to cover. Seriously, that book made me realize that I really liked that stuff. It had a tremendous impact on my life. I bought it something like 33 years ago and I've still got it. Still look at it from time to time.
