An absolute joke - that is not what the program is for. More corporate greed killing this country.

Fuck you to everyone, Dem and Rep that support this unneeded program.

Don't know enough Jon, but this seems to indicate the real issue...
The use of H-1B workers has other implications as well. They are mostly young, under 35 years of age, according to government data, and the SCE workers interviewed said many older workers were being laid off. H-1B workers are also overwhelmingly male. The IEEE has estimated that as many as 85% are males.

Although H-1B workers have to be paid prevailing wages, a data analysis of wages that Hira conducted found that H-1B workers cost employers less. The national median wage for an Infosys worker over a recent three-year period was $60,000 per year and for Tata it was $64,900, he said. These are figures that are lower than what appear in salary surveys, including Computerworld's annual survey.
Sounds a bit like water is wet.

So you are fine with importing low-wage younger workers to take your job as well?

Jon, its just a matter of time until a young, slap-hitting, twink takes over your spot on the Grizzlies roster.
That last contract you signed is just too much for the franchise to handle.

We are the Grizzlies. We only have one young, slap hitting twink. Rest are real Grizzlies. Other than the little Asian lady. But she can kick your ass, so be careful. I know you have issues with Asian women.

So in a nutshell (as so clearly demonstrated in this thread in short order)-

Conservatives like skilled immigrants who contribute, but take others' jobs because they are paid less.

Liberals like unskilled immigrants who immediately become public charges on entry to the US, and contribute nothing. Well, other than their votes for the Democratic Party, they contribute nothing.

Jon's off the kneejerk toe-the-line liberal talking point on this one.

The Dems LOVE themselves some H1Bs

I'm anti immigration and think we need to protect the borders to a much greater degree…unlike conservative illegal employers. :coffee:

Why are you anti-immigration? :?

I didn't know that only the Conks were employing people illegally. Thanks for clarifying it.

We have enough people that need work in this country already and I have a bit of an isolationist streak in me.

When did I say only Conks? I was replying to CID's summary. Both conks and donks have a weak spot when it comes to immigration.

Shame on you kalm, that's not very progressive. :ohno:

Actually, CID's summary was pretty accurate.
