And it's complicated by variations in cost of living. For instance: Let's say you live in Baton Rouge and you're right at that top 1% income of $339 K per year. How much would you have to make in Seattle in order to enjoy the same standard of living? According to the cost of living comparison tool at http://www.bestplaces.net/cost-of-living/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, you'd have to make $580,552.

Damn, my brother and his wife are way over the 1%. They're like the .5%.

Fayetteville area is fairly nice. Walmart money had created a halo effect.
