And it's complicated by variations in cost of living. For instance: Let's say you live in Baton Rouge and you're right at that top 1% income of $339 K per year. How much would you have to make in Seattle in order to enjoy the same standard of living? According to the cost of living comparison tool at

Fayetteville area is fairly nice. Walmart money had created a halo effect.
