Someone mailed a suspicious package to the California Franchise Tax Board (the state equivalent to the IRS). The building was evacuated, and the Fire Department sent out people in HazMat suits to investigate.

Turned out to be dog poop.

Why would I NOT pay taxes, Andy? As much as I don't like the sitting President, I AM a patriotic citizen. I do my duty, INCLUDING paying taxes.

Without knowing what was in the package, how were they supposed to respond?
Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
