Paris Rally

A lot of world leaders were at the rally against terror in Paris. The US didn't have anyone present except our ambassador.

What do you think? Should we have had someone of greater importance in attendance?

I'll give Obama a pass because I'm sure there were security/logistic issues. Maybe even the same with Biden -although they probably didn't send him because they were afraid he would do or say something stupid. I think Sec. State Kerry should have been there though. He even speaks French!

:ohno:

Yes. At least Biden, but it's complicated. They're still working on AF1's engines after the Hawai'i vacation. :notworthy:

Kerry's there in a couple days (planned) and he will spread warmth and love!

The US looks really disingenuous when you have Netanyahu AND Abbas walking in the Unity March and no one from the executive branch at all.

US Security is far different than for these other countries.

It would have been nice, but a circus And he would get blasted if he went for wasting money going to FRANCE

He's getting blasted for NOT going. It was lose-lose for him.

He should have gone. :twocents: Or at least Biden.

It's Bush's fault.

If current pols are tied up, how about a former Pres. with human rights credentials and mideast ties, like say Jimmy?

Obama to the Turkish Parliament 2009 -
“So let me say this as clearly as I can:
“The United States is not, and will never be, at war with Islam...
“We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.
“The United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their families or have lived in a Muslim-majority country — I know, because I am one of them.”

I've seen that quote as "proof" that he's a muslim, when in reality that isn't what the quote is saying.

By the way - those world leaders didn't march - they showed up for a photo op - separated from the crowds, and then went home.

Still would've been nice to have Kerry there - couldn't he move his flight up? Didn't have a problem with Obama nor Biden there, not an event the POTUS would ever be cleared for security-wise.

BHO sent more to Ferguson for the funeral than Paris

Holder was asked twice in Paris if we are at war with Radical Islam and he refused to answer

Should have sent Biden...it would have saved this young lady from having nightmares for the rest of her life

Of course, the opposite is true, now all the Dems don't care about France. It's amazing how both sides flip and how their supporters follow in kind depending on who's guy's in the White House.

No, I dont give a shart about France.

I think its wonderful weve become so feckless and weak. Nothing warms my heart more to think of all the hand wringing going on in the EU right now as they consider that the US might not be around to play world police in the near future. That is a double whammy for them since they wont be able to benefit from our pugilistic nature while scoring political points bashing us.

Fvck France, Germany and all of Scandinavia while we're at it. Their pigeons are coming home to roost and I hope the murder monkeys burn the whole thing down and Russia turns off their gas at the same time

oh and fvck escargot what the fvck who eats snails
