Honestry, who was going to rike that movie anyway?
If Sony came out with a movie with a plot to kill Obama...most Americans would go ballistic. Well, at least we know one demographic would.

So where was the protest against a movie that wants to kill a gook country's leader?
Anyway, while I support freedom of speech, I do find it hilarious that those commie pinko hackers got their revenge on Sony.
"Sony has been reeling for weeks since hackers broke into the studio’s computer system in November and stole internal documents, email messages, film budgets, spreadsheets detailing top executive salaries and the social security numbers of thousands of employees. The documents and records were subsequently leaked online, setting off a firestorm of media coverage."

The good news in all of this is that MPAA is getting exposed.

Rudin, Pascal and the remaining Sony leaders are soulless cowards.
Stunning that universally the world powers have eschewed capitulating to terrorist blackmailers FOR DECADES, often resulting in murders...
...yet Sony caves to some infantile psychopathic worm.
Fuck Sony.
Death to Kim Jong Un.

I am a little surprised we haven't heard from Kim Jong Il on this topic yet.

What has been the liberal stand on NK?
If anything, I see a bunch of conks supporting Seth Rogan and free speech. Who knew?

Right now Sony isn't planning on ever releasing this movie, either to DVD for VOD.
Terrorism wins. Just threaten 9/11 and terrorism works. Kinda sad when you think of it.

Exactly, who knew kalm would stand up for free speech for the corporatists at Sony (even if they don't exercise it).

The piece in the Atlantic tries to tell us what we should and shouldn't laugh at. I'm fine with it from a morality standpoint, but I'm not fine with it from a freedom standpoint. To take solace in and be happy with the moral "win" from the loss of a freedom is not the trade off I'd want made in my society. Who gets to determine what are the morals we need to pursue and which freedoms we need to give up?

Well, this is 'Murica - and, in 'Murica we let large, multi-national corporations decide these matters.
Sony has spoken.

It seems that Christians want that responsibility.

There's plenty more people than just the Christians who want that responsibility, doesn't mean that any of them should have it.

Nah, Sony isn't making any moral statement or political stand. They simply took stock of the situation, realized that they could be sued if god-forbid any violence did happen, and decided to protect their wallets. Their's is the easiest viewpoint to understand.
