Near the end she was running at least one ad on at least one "Black" radio station in New Orleans including the inference that Cassidy believes being on welfare is worse than slavery. Absolutely false, of course. But it's kind of typical of Democratic Party politics in that area. It's part of the thing where they realize that they depend on overwhelming support among Blacks to win so they try to get as many Blacks "motivated" to vote as they possibly can.

Another thing she did was try to claim that he got paid by LSU Medical School for stuff he didn't do. I did a little research and it quickly became clear that LSU medical school thought it was getting a bargain...that he was contributing way more in terms of value than he was getting paid. Had to so with him being a certain kind of liver specialist that was unique to their system and they needed him and that he was doing what he was doing for peanuts.
