Includes these guys. JSO and Z should be all over this.
The corporate taxes are too damn high!!!
Seven of the 30 largest U.S. corporations paid their CEOs more last year than they paid in federal income taxes, according to a new report.
The study found that those seven companies — Boeing Co, Ford Motor Co, Chevron Corp, Citigroup Inc, Verizon Communications Inc, JPMorgan Chase & Co and General Motors Co. — reported a tax rate of -2.5 percent despite claiming more than $74 billion in combined pre-tax profits.
They paid their chief executives an average of $17.3 million, according to the study by two Washington think tanks — the Institute for Policy Studies and the Center for Effective Government.
The number of American companies that pay their chief executives more than they pay Uncle Sam is growing, researchers found.
The recently released report, “Fleecing Uncle Sam,” found that 29 of the 100 highest-paid CEOs were paid more in 2013 than the corporations they oversee paid in federal income tax.

It gets better...
Boeing is hell bent on getting even more money back from King County Seattle Metro
Even though King county pays Boeing a staggering amount already
Washington state is prepared to give Boeing Corp the largest tax incentive in U.S. History
$8.7 Billion which amounts to a net negative where the state PAYS BOEING
Like so many have said:
Call their bluff and let them leave and wish them well (good luck S.C. be careful what you wish for)

Politically, you can't call their bluff. Do YOU want to be the Governor that allowed Boeing to leave?

This SHOULD be low hanging fruit for Congress and the IRS to close the loopholes. Assuming that either of those entities ever did anything that wasn't in their own best interests.

That's a great start Chizz.
All you have to do now is admit that the companies who take advantage of those loopholes are very astute and doing a great service for their customers by not having to pass on their tax burden.

I thought your claim of the state paying Boeing sounded like BS. Well, according to the Gov's office it is.
"....the Legislature on Saturday boosted aerospace-training programs and approved
$8.7 billion in tax breaks to try to secure Boeing’s 777X jet.....
....An independent analysis released by the governor’s office projected that keeping production in Washington would produce
$21 billion in tax revenue for the state over 16 years....."
...Senate Bill 5952 passed the Senate 44-2, — Sen. Adam Kline, D-Seattle, also voted no — and in the House it passed 75-11....
...The tax-incentives measure extends commercial-airplane
tax breaks — due to expire in 2024 — until 2040 and expands a sales-and-use tax exemption for construction of buildings used to manufacture airplanes, among other things.
Lawmakers included provisions in the bill that take away the preferential tax rates for Boeing if it moves production of the 777X out of state....."

That's all fine and dandy, but corporate taxes used to represent 40% of receipts. Meanwhile the
parasites still use our infrastructure, take advantage of a publicly educated workforce, etc. They should at least lose their right to vote.
In fact, I think there's some old saying about that...

The Boeing game is as bipartisan as anything I've seen in this state...
The independent analysis released by the "governors office" doesn't account for the entire plan
its half the math... (The good half)
Governors like getting re-elected
and not losing Boeing during their terms - so, yeah... there is that
And I'm not necessarily against the plan - but I think it needs to be fully understood
and honestly evaluated - which is almost impossible now with the way things are going

And to think Boeing adds no ancillary taxes beyond corporate.

If you wanna play that game, corporate taxes used to count for 0% of receipts as well. Not sure what you're tying to say since infrastructure (you know...highways, roads, bridges, and all that shit) are paid through motor fuel taxes and public education is paid for through local ad-valorem taxes. Instead of chasing unicorns, take away something that actually exists. Corporations are people, so take away their citizenship. Amirite?

And it took several months to travel across the country too.
You may not like how the taxes are raised and there are probably better more direct examples, but like it or not, the federal government helps fund infrastructure and education. In fact 41.1% of Georgia's state budget comes from the Feds.
I also like how these low-life takers get to use our federal court system for free.
