The GOP just got a woman in the Senate who knows what war is, because she's actually a combat veteran. She knows that the GOP supports women as much as anybody. And the GOP isn't claiming that women aren't capable of supporting themselves or defending themselves, as Donkeys have famously tried to claim.

It was a very close race, with up to about 75% of precincts reporting, they had Owens(D) winning. I am not in this district so I wasn't able to vote for her but I would have if I could have. She was the better candidate and her opponent basically ran on the ticket of "My dad was a congressman for years".
I am kind of surprised that it was as close as it was.
