Donks and Immigration

How progressive of them....

An interesting example why Silicon Valley Donks like Zukerberg, Ballmer, Gates, Schmidt, etc. are all-in on amnesty.

Bay Area tech company caught paying imported workers $1.21 per hour
Ever heard of Electronics for Imaging? We hadn't either until this morning, but it's apparently a multimillion dollar, multinational, public corporation based out of Fremont, California. And the United States Department of Labor just caught EFI red-handed in an investigation, which found that "about eight employees" were flown in from India to work 120-hour weeks for $1.21 per hour. EFI apparently thought it was okay to pay the employees the same wages they'd be paid in India (in Indian rupees). Here's the unbelievably crazy sounding quote EFI gave to NBC's Bay Area affiliate: "We unintentionally overlooked laws that require even foreign employees to be paid based on local US standards."
:ohno:

Chizzy...

For someone who is supposed to be intelligent (allegedly), you ain't too brite sometimes. :ohno:

I didn't say any of them had anything to do with it (learn how to read and comprehend). I used that company as an example...even clearly stated so before I linked the article. :dunce:
ex·am·ple - noun a thing characteristic of its kind or illustrating a general rule.
You wanna give it another shot there, Einstein?

BTW, what does them being Joos have to do with anything? :? :?

Whatchu mean, klammy? :o

Silicon Valley 'progressives' paying foreign workers $1.21 an hour for 120 hour work weeks, yes 120 hours in a week, with no overtime doesn't make a good thread on the poli board?

Even when you take into consideration that other Silicon Valley 'progressives' are screaming for open borders to allow even more cheap foreign workers into the country???? :?

Really?

Guy Gecht (the guy you named) is a major contributor to the campaign of Ro Khanna, candidate (DONK) for Congress in California. Khanna was Obama's Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Department of Commerce.

I guess that makes him NOT (your words) a Democrat?

Again, (please answer this time) what does them being Israeli have to do with anything?

:dunce:

Okay a few things:
Major contributor..?
Exaggerate much Baldy ($2,600) is not major

Gecht also contributed the exact same amount to Mike Honda (both parties) R & D

Secondly:
Why would the DONK crazy department of Commerce go after Gecht and his company if he was one of them?

Thirdly
The premise of this thread is targeted and Liberals...

Jeezus Christ Chizzy...

Mike Honda is a DONK. Anyway, opensecrets.org shows that Gecht ONLY donated to Khanna. Not that it matters since Khanna and Honda are BOTH Donks, but please feel free to post a link.

Since Gecht donated the MAXIMUM allowable by law, it is considered a major contribution. Research much?

Chiz, you're really stepping all over your dick. Multiple corrections per post, it's probably best for you and Chester to give it up on this one.

Though it's a small amount, people like Bloomberg contribute to both Conservative and Liberal candidates. Sean Parker has given 60% of his contributions to Conservatives and 40% to Liberals. Yet he's a dirty, evil Palo Alto elitist, right?

So, simply supporting a democrat doesn't necessarily make you a democrat. I voted for Republicans and Democrats on Tuesday, however I am neither nor do I give any money to a political party.

And according to Open Secrets.com, of all the campaign contributions via SuperPacs, from the top 1%, 58% of the money went to Conservatives. Same for the Top 100 donors.

The new focus on Obama’s plans to revamp the nation’s immigration system by executive fiat came as the president is reportedly reviewing proposals to allow as many as 5 million illegal immigrants to stay in the United States at least temporarily, according to several people familiar with his plans.
