"Climate Change" is "Bad, Bad, Science..."

...so says Weather Channel co-founder and 9K Ph.D. experts and 31 other scientists. Particularly damning for the Gore-ites is the fact that his pet "fact" is patently false: the ice caps are at high levels, including RECORD highs in Antarctica. Add to that the fact that there are more polar bears around than at any time in the last hundred years, and things look pretty bad for the Gore-ites....

Ugh…is this turd still flapping his gums?

The 9,000 PhD's signed a paper thing was debunked years ago.

Here's a list of Coleman's claims along with sourced rebuttals. Go ahead and enlighten yourself, SH.

Polar bears? Seriously?
They are a hoax.
As as the polar ice caps (which actually only exist on Mars).
All part of an elaborate scheme to cover up the existence of aliens disguised as killer bees.

The thing is, guys, that technically it's not science at all. It's observational study.

Here is a basic outline of the scientific method:
Ask a Question
Do Background Research
Construct a Hypothesis
Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
Communicate Your Results
Underline added for emphasis. That one's from the first hit that came up on a Google search on "The Scientific Method" (http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-f ... thod.shtml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). But that IS basically the scientific method.

See the underlined part? That's the problem with the certainty with which people assert things about climate change. I don't think I need to explain further.

Can't that be said for many things that we take as scientific evidence?

Yes. And that is a problem. We have a situation today in which we have computers that allow us to process a lot of data. And we do not maintain discipline with respect to what is really "science" in terms of applying the scientific method as opposed to what is just analysis of observational data.
