Ravenel is a bombshell. I wish his TV show would get canceled and he'd lose his fortune. He is an embarrassment to The Citadel, his family and Charleston.

I am so glad I don't pay attention.

It's in it's 2nd season.

It's apparently about Charleston "royalty" but Ravenel is the only person from Charleston. There's a girl from Sumter (who went to HS with my wife), Ravenel's cousin from Beaufort or Hilton Head, some douchey law student from Delaware, a NYC gold digger and someone from LA or NY ( who lives with his mother.)

In Georgia we have donks with famous last names going up against not-so-great republican candidates.
I don't think it'd be a huge disaster if Jason Carter became the governor (differences between the parties aren't huge at the state level anyways).
I am absolutely voting against Michelle Nunn to keep donks from holding that seat.

Voting for Wolf (D) for governor (incumbent Corbett is just a powder keg)
Voting for Fitzpatrick (R) for Congress (he's the incumbent, the Democratic challenger is uninspiring to say the least)
No Senate candidate this year for PA
Voting for Mensch (R) for State Senate (he's the incumbent, nice guy)
And the State Representative is running unopposed.

Would you say he's a real mensch?

I'm going to vote for all the Democrats. Not because I think they can win but because I want them feel good about their efforts.

Gov - Bruce Rauner (R)
Senate - Sharon Hanson (L)
Congress (10th) - Robert Dold (R)
State Rep - Barbary Wheeler (R)
Governor's an easy call. The incumbent (Pat Quinn) has been in office for 6 years (took over when Blago was arrested) and has accomplished nothing to ease the pension debt that is crushing the state. He wants to stop the roll back of the 67% income tax that he promised was temporary. Most importantly he won't stand up to Speaker of the House Madigan. One branch of government needs to be controlled by the opposition to prevent the train wreck that is Illinois from going over the fiscal cliff.
Senate - Dick Durbin (D) the incumbent will win easily. Oberweis (R) is a successful businessman and political gadfly who scares the sh!t out of me. Libertarian is the only way to go in good conscience.
Congress - rematch of the 2012 race that Dold lost to Brad Schneider. Schneider has not lived up to his campaign promises and doesn't deserve to represent this moderate district. No (L) is running. Dold is an old school moderate. This will likely be close.
State Rep - I've met Wheeler and like her. She's hand's on, pragmatic and results oriented. I'd vote for her regardless but we also need to reduce Madigan's supermajority.

I already voted absentee because I will be out of town that day. My ballot:
Gov.
Incumbent R - Terry Branstad. He's done a good job and will win by 8-10-12 points.
US Senate
Joni Ernst - R. I don't necessarily like her but I can't stand Dem Bruce Braley and the race is too close to waste my vote for the Libertarian. Whoever wins this one will win by 1-2 points at most.
US House
Steve King - Incumbent R. I've known Steve King for a long time going back to when he served in the Iowa Legislature. You know where he stands because he will tell you exactly what he thinks, even if it isn't what you want to hear. He was always good about listening to your viewpoint and offering his critique of why he agreed or disagreed and you might even change his mind. His biggest problem is that he has become a politician that loves to go on Fox or CNN and throw bombs out there to get attention which has turned him into kind of a joke. His Dem opponent had some good qualifications but seems to have sold his soul to get the backing of national Dems and he lost a lot of support when he did that. Surprisingly there were no independent/3rd party candidates in this district to vote for. King will win by 10-12 points.
State Senate and House
Voted for the R challenging our incumbent D state senator. The incumbent is a fucking dumbass. State Rep. is an open seat. I voted for the Libertarian because I don't like the R that is running.

I think it's called Southern Charms. I tried to watch an early first season episode. Couldn't get through more than fifteen minutes of it.

Jason Carter would be an unmitigated disaster. 30-something year old know nothing riding on his grandpappy's knee. He got his hands on one of our audits and started running off at the mouth about things he knew nothing about.
