Hillary Clinton: Corporations and businesses don’t create jobs
At a Democratic rally Friday in Massachusetts, Hillary Clinton’s attempt to attack “trickle-down economics,” resulted in a spectacularly odd statement, according to The Washington Free Beacon.
Clinton defended raising the minimum wage saying “Don’t let anybody tell you that raising the minimum wage will kill jobs, they always say that.”
She went on to state that businesses and corporations are not the job creators of America. “Don’t let anybody tell you that it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs,” the former Secretary of State said.

OK, she is guilty of something here. Is it a poor understanding of the economy? Is it her failure to prevent providing a sound bite that her political opponents can bury her with? Is she misunderstood (failure to provide a clear message)?
Go.

She's lived in the bubble so long she has lost touch with reality.

To quote my friend, Z "just because you repeat it over and over again, doesn't make it right." On the contrary, your statist/neo-con view of Hilary is compelling. She's nuzzled up to Goldman Sachs and represents the establishment. I wouldn't support her in a million years. These type of comments are throwing red primary meat to a half blinded donk base.
But please don't let any if this get in the way of your obsession with me. I find it quite flattering and cute.

Yep and the business owners and financiers that support her know that is exactly what she is doing and aren't worried in the least about her BSing the base.

Hillary's got to stop Elizabeth Warren before Warren gains too much traction with the die hard dems.

She's guilty of being right.
Customers create jobs. Everybody knows that.

How much hope can there be for a conk that doesn't know that jobs are created by
customers and not by corporations...?

Customers, don't create jobs. They create demand for a product or service. You don't need a business to deliver that product or service, but you do need a business to hire individuals to create that product or provide that service.
If this isn't the case, then let's do away with business and see how many products or services still exist.
As is typical, both sides constantly overemphasize whatever argument supports their agenda.
PS, Robert Reich is one many intelligent dopes.

Without research and development workers, marketing workers, real estate or IT workers, finance workers, manufacturing workers, etc., there is nothing for a customer to buy, and therefore, the customer does not exist.

No you are wrong. Demand itself doesn't create jobs. That is an oversimplification of the process. The market place, willing buyers and sellers and the resources required to buy and or sell, create jobs. There are times when brand new products (happening all the time in tech these days) create demand where it didn't exist. So jobs are created on the hope that their is demand for the product. More stable product lines work just the opposite. To simply say demand creates jobs or business create jobs over simplifies the process.
But that is ok, we are good at that in politics these days.
