Would you purchase an automobile with a full blown Google dashboard interface...
Don't answer yet, there's more
1) 11 in touch screen
2) fully loaded with maps and continually connected to the internets
3) After about 90 days knows where you're going and is capable of "assists"
3a) Assists include traffic / local events / other family or friends vehicles / who's where
4) Full fuel and range monitoring with gas price update (It'll tell you when you're driving towards the lowest price gas in town... and sh!t like that
5) It is continually connected to other digital services like "Open Table" and your hotel and flight reservations your bank account online banking and grocery lists and all that shit... basically everything

Your feelings....?

No it would be a Ford

much like the one I dropped of at Google Kirkland a few months ago (for example)
Please note: The car would also connect to your phone and you could start it from your living room in the winter and it will also tell you if somebody is touching your car and cool sh!t like that

Interesting. I filled out a survey for OnStar recently that was fairly similar to this.
Short answer: No.
Long answer: I think we have too much shit like this in cars already with smartphones. This will make it worse. I watched a gal blow through a stoplight today because she was looking at her phone. She never did look up to know that she blew the stoplight. I also have some paranoia about who might be watching where I go, how fast I go, etc. Who will have this information? Who can get the information? The govt? My insurance company? My employer? How will it be protected against hackers? Will Google's shit work better than Microsoft's? As someone that drives a Ford now I can tell you about all the weird shit my Sync controlled system does now.

Two things:
1) This version of the Google Vehicle has a setting where the car can detect 4 way stops and traffic lights making an indication sound when the light is RED or when you're approaching a stop sign
2) The system will not activate if you are holding your phone, the phone has to be in a special cradle
It also has a cool feature that tells you where all the new patrol cars are (exactly where they are) and that feature cannot be activated... (very easily)

Do I receive a fee for being one of your data points?
If not, Google Vehicle sucks.

I already have a feature that can detect 4 way stops and traffic lights...they are called eyes.

Around here all of our tractors are. I wouldn't take them into NYC though.

so basically it is a car that helps people who should not be driving a car

Perhaps it can warn you against tailgating and road rage against Prious owners.

I'm obviously in the minority, but I'm all in favor of a car that can do more. The day we get to the point where automated cars (ala the Minority Report) are the norm will be a day I'll enjoy. Not that I don't like driving, I just don't like the mediocre drivers around me. But yeah, I'm in favor of more and more features in the car.

Perhaps it can provide a kill switch to get them to pull over and get the hell out of the way.
