Holder "stands with Ferguson"

On Thursday, he told reporters in Washington that the Justice Department would thoroughly investigate the case, and would "continue to stand with Ferguson". Holder told the students he understands "the mistrust" between some residents and the police. “I am the attorney general of the United States, but I am also a black man," Holder said.
No surprise there.. Holder is acting exactly as expected. The Attorney General stands with the community.. rather than standing for justice.

I would say he is standing with the lynch mob. And as noted it's certainly no surprise.

Been saying that for the past six years, Helen Keller.
I understand your mother had difficulty not dropping a 55 pound infant...

I still don't see why the Justice Dept. feels the need to interject itself in this case. Civil Rights? Blacks and whites are killed every day and sometimes by a member of another race. Killed by a police officer? Well, they aren't in SLC or investigating that man killed by police in St. Louis, the one with the knife.
Racism. 100% Pure and Simple Racism. Hope and Change? Bull FUCKING shit.

Meh. His visit was mostly symbolic. I realize that the Federal resources being committed to this case is unprecedented. But considering the fact that there were riots and looting going on, protests in other major cities where riots could begin at any time, Sharpton and Jackson stirring the pot, etc., a calming effect was necessary otherwise the cost to keep the peace would be much higher.
I believe that it is also a message to remind LE to not allow racism to cloud their decision making. I think that is a good thing too.
What I disagree with is the use of the term "justice" in this case. That term is only one sided. "Truth" is the term that should be used. The MO Gov. has used "justice" over and over again also. It is just wrong.

It is a real shame that they are using justice as a code word for retribution, rather than for truth.

I agree, good viewpoint on the situation and with DOJ, at least up to this point.
