I just watched President Obama's statement on using some air strikes against ISIS. I'm glad he's decided to do something. However, I think the United States should just kill this snake. This is an Islamic group that wants to fight like an army. Just use air power to decimate it. Don't go with the limited or "targeted" strikes stuff. Just order an air campaign to destroy as much of ISIS as can be destroyed from the air.

I don't understand why at this point we wouldn't do that.

You might have a point. I don't think there are a lot of caves where ISIS is operating, we could probably do a lot of damage from the air.

Right now I wish we had a President like George H.W. Bush. Bush the Elder. Of the Presidents of my lifetime that's who I would most like to be President under these circumstances.

My guess is that he would totally incapacitate this ISIS group with air power. He would not talk in terms of limited strikes. He would go full bore. And I think this ISIS group is a group that is vulnerable to being effectively destroyed by that because they are not doing the Hamas type thing. They are not trying to hide. They are openly acting like they think they are an army and engaging in offensives.

US air power could totally obliterate the type of thing ISIS is doing. And I think George H.W. Bush would use it.

I'm suggesting that we let someone else worry about ISIS. I'm tired of playing World Police. We can't afford it. Why should I care about ISIS? Seriously? They can over run the all of Iraq and Syria for all I care.

ISIS is a threat to Western Civilization as we know it? Well maybe Western Civilization should grow a freaking pair and do something about it instead of being little bitches and wanting to let the US handle everything all the time.

No, we are not. We are only in a war if a brainless President puts us there. Obama's problem is that he hasn't gotten us out of Afghanistan fast enough. He should be bringing our troops home, not expanding out conflicts.

If he did expand our conflicts, you would complain about that. Admit it, no matter what Obama does, you will be here to criticize it. Nobody will ever accuse you of being fair.
